If I remember correctly, when Parise and Suter were bought out, everybody expected this team to be absolutely dog shit - especially this year and next year. The fact that we did well leading up to this year, and have had mild success this year, I think has skewed expectations. Being as good as we have been during the buyouts, I think speaks pretty highly of the organization.
Yes, there have been missteps or things people haven't agreed with, but the fact of the matter is we've somehow managed to put out a pretty competitive team. That's really all you can ask for, in this situation.
No, the management isn't going to willingly tank, so take that off the table.
