Well - do we end up passing VGK and take that last Wild Card slot?

Would be hilarious given how all in they went at the deadline.
It would also be hilarious given how quickly we would get wrecked in the playoffs. Our depth is utterly atrocious

Hey, I gave a suggestion for a team that does exactly what you wanted. The Yotes always trade away their good players and have tons of trade picks. They're SO CLOSE to getting into the second round of the playoffs.
We literally just traded Fiala who was damn near in the Kap Ek level.

How good would Nyquist's 60 points look in Wild Lineup,
Like Nyquist instead of Marjo and Bjug instead of Freddy? Seems like that would have made a huge difference in our depth.

Yeah, something about cap penalties or something. Or wanting all your money tied up in wingers.

thats guerin's job to know & add the right players. i can't believe billy thinks if he hands out extentions & ntc players will have career best seasons. hey billy puff puff pass dude!

If I remember correctly, when Parise and Suter were bought out, everybody expected this team to be absolutely dog shit - especially this year and next year. The fact that we did well leading up to this year, and have had mild success this year, I think has skewed expectations. Being as good as we have been during the buyouts, I think speaks pretty highly of the organization.

Yes, there have been missteps or things people haven't agreed with, but the fact of the matter is we've somehow managed to put out a pretty competitive team. That's really all you can ask for, in this situation.

No, the management isn't going to willingly tank, so take that off the table.

Correct. And even if mgmt wanted to tank, Leipold wouldn't let them.

Tanking just feeds the losing culture. Buffalo is one example
Getting unceremoniously f***ing blasted out of the first round for a decade straight is 100% losing culture….pretending it isn’t and making excuses for it are why we deserve what we get

just making the playoffs in a league where 50% get in isn't really an accomplishment , mgmt just enjoys the few extra revenue dollars. now baseball making the playoffs is a feather in your cap.

If you don't like what the team is doing, simply stop supporting the team. It's really that simple and the best way to force the team to change. I don't know what you guys really expect.

"Let's tank, even though doing so hasn't really proven to be successful unless you get lucky. Sure, it will take away the playoff revenue that we accrue. Sure, it could alienate the fanbase because who doesn't love supporting a perpetually losing team?"

None of this makes sense. Some of those that want to tank (trade away valuable assets) also criticize BG for being a moron. So, suddenly, when we have those draft picks he's not a moron? You suggest getting a new GM, who will likely be unproven because most teams with good GMs don't let them go.

Help this make sense to me because I'm just not seeing it.

It's just a very easy decision to make when you have no actual skin in the game.

Was this directed towards me? Honestly, not sure.

Anyone know the timeline on a meniscus/MCL injury? Minor injuries could have him back in time for the playoffs if I’m not mistaken.

Great news that it’s (probably) not an ACL.
Depends on what the injury is, tear? Takes about as long as the ACL. It's the second stabilizing ligament in the knee, versus the PCL

ACL -> MCL -> PCL in order of importance, if I'm not mistaken. Not a doctor.

Folding at the slightest sign of adversity is also feeding the loser mentality. The season is very exciting right now, will they make the playoffs with all odds against them (injuries and cap hell and such).
We all know the chances they win a cup is very small, but as long as there is life there is hope.
What the hell do I know, I'm just an old geezer.
