Sitting with your dad and watching the Wild win the Cup won't make future games dull, it'll "just" be a memory that brings you great joy, that you'll both have and share in together. You'll know where you were when it happened, and it's with someone you love. This is a random and kinda deep thought but I'm going to open it up for discussion. I'm 20, and for basically my entire life my father and I have connected the most through hockey, specifically the Wild. I'm home from college and as we were watching the game tonight we agreed we can't wait to finally win the Stanley one day. As he went to bed I thought to myself: "when we win the cup will things ever be the same?" Like will things become dull afterward? Wouldn't want that to be the case for the #1 common interest between my dad and I. Kinda a good reminder that life is about the journey; causing finish line to be so sweet. Being born in '03, I've never seen a title in anything. So I propose this question:
Once we win the cup, how do you think it will change you or us as fans? To those who have witnessed other championships, does the journey become dull afterward?
(Apologies if this is too deep for this thread, just genuinely curious)

Maybe I'm inebriated, but this is beautiful.Sitting with your dad and watching the Wild win the Cup won't make future games dull, it'll "just" be a memory that brings you great joy, that you'll both have and share in together. My only warning: don't let the desire for a Cup ruin the times that the Wild don't win one, which will be almost always, if not always. You're worried about dulling future games/experiences with him, but getting too invested in the result can numb you, instead, after too many failures. My advice is to enjoy the victories, even the small ones, and enjoy the time spent together.
Absolutely not. Maybe if you're a fan of a team like the Patriots and seen them so often they become expected. That doesn't seem to be a "Minnesota problem" though. Wish it was...This is a random and kinda deep thought but I'm going to open it up for discussion. Boeser, depending on the definition of "low cap hit".Can we open up the Konecny conversation again in here?
Also, assuming Guerin wants to take a swing to prove to Kaprizov he means business, what other players are low cap hit for one more year then extension eligible?

Big game hunting: Draisaitl, Rantanen, Marner, Crosby, Marchand
I do actually wonder if Crosby is sick of Pittsburgh's shit.
There are some tweets saying that the Rangers were indeed interested in Zuccarello, with a top pick and a prospect in play. I can understand Wild fans who are irritated about the extension because the team should go for a re-build, missing out on the good stuff. It's too late for Zucc to be part of a serious Wild playoff run anyway. He was tradable this season, unless the Rangers are on his no-trade list. Doubt that.

Yeah...even in the most ideal world where he didn't sign an extension, a top pick and prospect for a 35-year old winger doesn't sound right. That sounds like a fan-made proposal.Whose tweets?
I do like ChycrunBoeser, depending on the definition of "low cap hit".
Chychrun.
Firstov's team was eliminated from the KHL playoffs. He's on a loan, can we see him in the NHL before the regular season ends? No reason not to try it out at this point.
I'd love to get him over here and have him make the team, but the difference is that he's already decided he won't play any AHL time. Unless the Wild think he's a no-brainer in the NHL, they probably can't bring him back.Nah. Something, something about not wanting to play in Iowa. No room in the lineup, after all we just got the guy who had 20p this year in the KHL.
NVM Firstov's 17g/18a + 2g in the 4 Playoff games in the KHL.
