Greenway is done...out at least two more games, coach says.
Duhaime probably ready against the Preds.

Minnesota fans after a loss: This team is in dire need of talent we aren't going to win anything!

Those aren't the same individuals.
Saying the fan base has fans in the full spectrum of opinions? Shocking. So does every fan base.

By my count, the only team with less even strength goals than we have this season is Arizona.

Steel isn't better than a single player on the roster, not counting the AHL callups like Beckman, Cramarossa, Fogarty, or whoever else gets the call.

You should add Rossi to the AHL callup list to make that a correct statement. Steel is also better than Jost (also a roster player).

Rossi is a negative in the o-zone.

The coach doesn't trust his d-zone game. He doesn't PK and late game he's stapled to the bench if MN has a lead. Doesn't play 3v3. He's on a PP that does nothing.

The savior of being a top-10 pick is the only thing he has going for him. There is currently nothing about his game that is NHL quality. He doesn't have the size, speed, puck control, passing, awareness, checking, board play, shot, FOs, and he just passive on the ice.

Every line he's been on worse with him than it is without him.

St. Louis and Chicago have fewer too.

Odd stat:

The central division has the bottom 6 spots in the 5v5 goals for category. Only Nashville isn't there, and they're 9th worst.

Is that even strength or just 5v5?

Maybe it fluctuated after tonight's game, or maybe I just counted wrong. Oh well.

I doubt it.
DAL had (5GF): 2 ESG, 1 SHG, 2 PPG
WIN had (3GF): 2 PPG, 1 OT goal (ESG)
MN had (2GF): 1 ESG, 1 SHG
AZ had (1GF): 1 PPG

So 4 ESG total, 3 5v5 goals total between the Central 4 teams.

I was thinking "Weird stat, but maybe all of the teams in the Central are just good at defending against each other 5v5", so I looked it up. Nope, the Jets have played the most intra-division games at 6 out of their total 14, and the Stars at 5 out of 15. Everyone else has played fewer than that, with the Coyotes and Wild the least, at 2 out of 15 (note: Blues 2 of 13).

It's a fairly small sample still, but maybe the Central just isn't that great this year. I'm not sure what else to take away from that.

I’m not sure of this is a bad team or an OK team, but I do know that watching this team feels like a complete 180 from what we saw last year. Went from having 4 consistent lines to 1, at best. No scoring depth whatsoever. Good thing we have all this cap space. Tougher matchups ahead, too.
