Meaningful lineup changes according to who? Fans? Posters on this board? Yeah I don't care what they think is meaningful.

I do, do you? I remember Dean dropping Parise down the lineup and eventually just in the pressbox. I remember Dean finding a center that can actually produce more than 30-35 points next to Kap. I remember Dean discovering that Greenway-Eriksson Ek-Foligno is one of the best shutdown lines in the NHL. I remember Dean benching Fiala when he was playing like shit and playing him more than Kap when he was “on.”

If Dean was as “do-nothing” as some of you think, then none of the above would exist. He’s been doing pretty well with the players he’s been given.

I remember 3 playoff series where he did nothing and we lost

That criticism isn't suddenly invalid just because you don't like it, and it isn't invalid if he finally starts doing things further down the line

This was my first thought and I hate it. I hope they don't make ours as gimmicky as the Dallas jersey. I think adding yellow along with the green can help.

You do know that, even if I don't provide you my personal list of changes, it doesn't change the fact that Dean didn't do anything in those series, right?

Like, me giving you my list or not has nothing to do with the fact that Dean, as the actual head coach of the team, didn't make any.

I need you to understand that.

Let’s hear your list. You seem to think you are smarter than Dean. Let’s see what the mega crinkle brain had in store to win those series.

The conversation has nothing to do with my list though, and I'm thinking you don't understand that.

Because I could give you my list and you and the other guy can sit there and pick apart each change on that list and tell me why you don't think it's good, but that's a different conversation that has nothing to do with the fact that Dean didn't change anything.

Stop trying to bait people into a straw man conversation. Also, maybe stop with the appeal to authority argument that because he's in that position means he knows everything and is above criticism. Or don't, you're free to say what you want.

No, I get it. Don’t have better ideas but are ay-okay talking smack about the coach that did in fact make changes, but we will just ignore those because they are not “significant enough” or whatever language you want to use to fit your argument.

Hey, I'm perfectly okay with admitting that Dean didn't do enough during those playoff series, but also acknowledging that he's been better about some changes so far this season, and if he continues, then he won't be "do-nothing-Deano" anymore.

You, on the other hand, just seem to have an axe to grind with the people who shared their (valid) criticisms, because you didn't like them.

But I'm not going to have a tangential conversation with you because you're trying to be intellectually dishonest to prove you "got me".

Dean didn't do enough in any of the three playoff series, and we lost. If you can acknowledge that (even if you disagree with it) as a valid criticism of Dean, then maybe we can move forward.

Just kinda proving the point that you don't wanna have a discussion about this, you just wanna be mad at others for having an opinion different than yours, and figuratively dunk on those people now.
