I try to expect less than nothing and then are pleasantly surprised when we do well, only to slightly get my hopes up come playoff time so the imminent defeat pushes my expectations back down again.

Lucky for me, I'm not from Minnesota so I don't have to suffer the Vikings or Timberwolves. I can just enjoy hockey - probably explains I'm such an optimist among you all

I am fortunate in that my high school and college teams have won multiple championships in hockey, makes me a much more optimistic Minnesota sports fan than most.

Maybe they are waiting until closer to x-mas so they can re-release reds...

Complain about Zucc's age if you actually see it. We didn't see it last season, had his best one ever. Stop creating problems we don't have. And most fans know Zucc is a must on the top PP, except a handful who hate him because he's north of 30.

I see his age, now you can too. 35 is old in the sports world, body ages and slows down. It’s extremely normal, that is why he should not get another contract no matter how good he may have been last year riding passenger to Kap. He is not a line driver at 35, he isn’t a goal scoring machine at 35, eventually he will be gone, I’d rather build chemistry between Kap and Boldy who we plan to have here longer than the next two years. Don’t like it, that’s fine it’s your opinion. I already stated they have good chemistry and that’s all good but his age is not simply because he will be done sooner rather than later.

Boldy can do the same things Zucc does on the pp. replacing him there is not an issue.

eh, goalies imo are the hardest position to draft. You really never know what you are going to get and even sure fire 1st round goalies sometimes don't work out.

Agree & agree. I’m keeping my expectations low, hoping to be pleasantly surprised.

At least we know our Reverse Retro 2.0 will be good.

if they use the kelly green as the main logo and stripes color but accent it properly with white it has the potential to look awesome. i agree though i have zero expectations of it looking nice.

why does it matter what he thinks about the future? does he wanna play till 50? I am sure he does. does he still have good years ahead of him in his mind? you betcha. no player is gonna say they are too old and done until it actually happens. it is in this teams best interest to not resign him.

That's what it's all about, a 2-3M deal is no problem for the Wild. Zucc can still play well on the 3rd line, and mentor the kids as he always does. He doesn't have to play with Kirill if he re-signs, I think the most important thing for Kirill is to have him on the team, for the reasons we know.

I don't know what to take away from that line from last night. They weren't noticeable 5v5, but looked good against a PK that didn't put any pressure on them.
