Hopefully it's just precautionary with it being preseason, but Kaprizov has left the game. ...had gotten hurt earlier.

So, Addison scores, and Rossi has two assists. I know the competition wasn't the greatest, but it's good to see the two guys that have a realistic chance to make the team do well.

Yeah, that pass was a beaut. One think i like the most was that it was a no looker, he saw Hartman in his FOV while he was driving to the net.

Addison played a very good game. Probably the best player out there.

Haight has a ton of tools, even on the ice with NHLers. Will be interesting how he can progress.

Don’t see O’Rourke playing a long term NHL role. Far too slight to play the game he tries to and just doesn’t have NHL ability at his size.

Lambos got beat cleanly for a GA. Did show a lot of clean exits. For him, much in the mold of Dumba’s development, have to even out the mistakes.

Hoping to see more from Beckman but looks very much the same as last year. Still has some work to do to cement himself on an NHL roster.

Myers would have been a nice piece to have. Really the only noticeable Colorado piece on roster where they brought no one.

I will enjoy watching this team much more if Addison/Rossi make the roster and/or when they are on the roster for the offensive creativity and upside potential than watching this roster with the Guerin grinders or Dean's dogs that will star the year in those spots.

LOL - don't forget Army's animals

It looks like Hartman starts the season where he finished the previous one, at least as to the regular but he wasn't as useless as Fiala in the playoffs too.

No stream listed for MN. COL has one, but it might be a local only?

Baddock has played in one NHL game. Mermis has played in quite a few, i think.

This is from an article last year. It's a pretty broad definition of for a veteran. 30 games last year, 100 games total, or a 1st round pick from the last draft. (I didn't know about the 1st rounder clause).

NHL rules state that teams must dress a minimum of eight "veterans" for each preseason game, but the League's definition of a "veteran" is quite generous at this time of year. Any forward or defenseman who played in 30 or more NHL games in the previous season qualifies, as does any goaltender who dressed for 50 or more or played in 30 or more games in the previous season.

Additionally, a first-round draft choice from the most recent NHL Draft qualifies as a "vet" for the purposes of preseason roster building, as does any player with 100 or more career games. These standards include playoff games.
Caps Take on B's in First Exhibition Tilt

Goalies are still in a category of their own. I don't think Gus counts as a vet. He didn't meet the 30 NHL games played, and with 20 AHL games player he probably wouldn't meet the 50 games dressed mark either.

Mermis only played in 2 games last year and has a grand total of 25 NHL games played.

I wonder if the fact that Gustavsson is on a one-way contract this season qualifies him as a vet for this purpose.

I don't see why it would. 1way or 2way contract is just about minors pay.

Regardless, I am not expecting much of a game. That is a pretty horrible line up. I don't know why they even Boldy out there.
