They have to play a certain number of players who havea certain number of games the previous year as to make it so a team doesn't play 100% non-NHL players. He's in to meet the minimum.

Probably because Greenway is out. He's the one who got the junk games last year.

I’m guessing he should probably get used to it.....he’s going to be given the Fiala treatment. They will give him trash line mates and then try to lowball him because his production reflected him being on an island. I hate Guerin , just absolute garbage management.

Yes because the off-season is a perfect example of what they are going to roll with in season.

Would you prefer we overpay him? They aren’t breaking up Zuccarello & Kirill or GREEF line until the production stops so where exactly would you propose they put Boldy?

Seems obvious they're trying to see if Jost and Steel work well with him. I'm expecting Gaudreau and Boldy to be a thing all season long, and the last spot is dependent on who wins it. They're giving Steel and Jost the first chance to win or lose it. Or maybe Rossi is ready and wins it away from them, in which case, Boldy would be on a fairly skilled line. Also remember, Steel and Jost were considered skill guys not too long ago. If either can reach the next (probably final) level of their development, they'll probably be the 2nd most skilled on that line.

I would have preferred they paid Fiala and moved Dumba , then I would have preferred that paid Boldy and moved Zucc. Pretty f***ing simple

Relax, man, and save your hate for when we are bounced from yet another 1st round. At this rate you won't last till Thanksgiving.

Wishful thinking that they wont be attached at the hip on the pp. they have good chemistry and that is great for their 5v5 play but when we are forced to keep them together it limits some combinations we could make on the pp. not to mention i would rather start letting Boldy build the chemistry with Kap on the PP as he will be here longer than Zucc.

I think Spurgeon was more of the issue on the power play. I don’t have any issues with Zucc and Kap on the top unit.

I have plenty of issues with the PP, I am just hoping this season is banked on future planning not lets hope to just get in and hope lighting strikes and we make a run. That has failed us time and time again. Im usually optimistic but its a growing year for plenty, lets grow more chemistry within our stars that will be here longer than this season.

Zucc and Kap have plenty of chemistry and that is great, yet Zuccs age is not. If he was Jagrs size id be fine with him staying till he is 40 and putting up points but he simply isnt. The bandaid will need to be ripped off sooner or later, I would like to start with it on the PP and you can disguise it as we failed miserably last year we need a big shake up if you need PR non sense. I believe i read our coach or someone in the org thinks we lack a kill instinct or drive to really push it on the pp rather than just setup and wait for the good look and i agree we do lack a drive and often times sit on the perimeter. If that means we need to break up the happy couple and force them to try other things, good because what we have been doing for years is not working.
 
Complain about Zucc's age if you actually see it. We didn't see it last season, had his best one ever. Stop creating problems we don't have. And most fans know Zucc is a must on the top PP, except a handful who hate him because he's north of 30.

I try to expect less than nothing and then are pleasantly surprised when we do well, only to slightly get my hopes up come playoff time so the imminent defeat pushes my expectations back down again.
