Ek week to week and Sunny day to day is far better than i thought after the game.
According to what Eva said there is a chance we get both Kirill and Gustav back vs Blues. Things is looking better by the minute!

I’m excited to see Rossi this go around, from what I have seen, he’s made pretty good improvement in adapting to the professional game, hopefully he can translate it, we really need some help without JEE.
No doubt. Since Walker and Beckman are injured, it's not like we have a lot of choices of who to bring up. Fogarty is a C, but there is no upside there. Petan is a winger, and very effective in the AHL, but until he proves that he can play at the NHL (and time is running out) he's not an option. He's a one way player, also...not good defensively, and is not at all physical. Giroux isn't good enough, Milne is too young(and a winger), so after that you are talking about guys like O'Leary, or Swaney. Hentges is out too....and simply hasn't shown enough in his young career due to injury.

A healthy Walker should be next in line to bring up, unless they decide to give Petan another chance, but he is an offensive specialist. Not sure that Dean will be thrilled with him as a player, even though he can really score at the AHL level. Gerry Mayhew like. Maybe more of a passer than a shooter, but otherwise similar.

I don’t know, week to week on Ek sounds like he’s not playing any play off games to me.

yup. Maybe for the final game or two of the first series, if it goes 7 games. :help:

I'm hoping that it is only a deep bone bruise, even though those can be really painful, and take weeks for the swelling to come down, and the pain to subside.

If it's a break... well, there's all sorts of breaks, from teeny little ones to big Mofo's, but in general, i can't imagine that playing with one on a limb that takes all your weight is going to be much fun, let alone having opponents hack away at that area, especially with the sort of game that JEE plays.

"Help us Marco Rossi, you are our only hope!"

Boldy has a 57% FO dot. Why not put Nyquist on the line and Johansson at C. Boldy can take FOs.
Because there is way more to playing Center than taking faceoffs? Because we run the risk of screwing up our second best forward going into the playoffs? Because he is not a C?

Could argue that it's already screwed up now that JEE isn't on it. Nyquist is at least offensively good enough to play on that line, so it makes sense from that standpoint. Of course, playing center means playing a different way for Boldy, so I am sure that would affect him in some way.

If there was ever a time to try it, it would be now before the playoffs.
Could work considering Mojo almost always makes Boldy F2 upon entering the offensive zone.
If Gus committed using his speed to cover the middle of the ice… don’t see why it shouldn’t be tried at least.
Would make for some good conversation.

I don't think you read my post. I said let Boldy take FOs and Johansson (with the level of skater he is) play C defensively. Not all that similar to a Hartman move to C and Johansson has played it in the past. Nyquist is also fast and we know playing Boldy with speed historically has worked well. But go off.

So Rossi called up. Starts on the 3rd line and Dean will shuffle him to the 4th by end of 1st period. He will be a healthy scratch his 2nd game up and Goligoski will play forward with nothing being communicated to Rossi on why he’s scratched.

Saying Ek is week to week is their polite way of saying he is done unless the team goes on a miraculous postseason run.
