I don't know what's going on with him. Lavi is showing much more patience than Gallant and Quinn, so that's the only thing going for him
very true. I say he gets 4 more games on the first line but then again who knows Lavi may not want to shuffle around the other lines.

If they lose in reg & don't blow a 3-0 lead I'd agree

You are handed 3-0 & blow it?

That says a lot about your "team"

@PuckLuck3043 this is for you also
You are cherry picking 1 game AND they still got a point. This team has shown guts this year and competed hard. It would be a different story if this was a common occurrence. The travel and schedule has been rough. I'm not sure why it is so hard to understand this.

I think at this point its pretty safe to say Schneider was a massive reach when drafted...and Gorton and JD saw something in him that simply wasn't there.
I know he had a horrible night but there is not many except Peterka who have done anything at the NHL level that was drafted after him. Maybe Neighbours becomes a good this year in St. Louis?

All I see is excuses. The Rangers without Fox are worse than the Oilers without McDavid. Weren't the Wild also missing their best defenseman?
You've been watching nhl for a long time now. You are well aware that over an 82 game season teams probably take 15-20% of the nights off, with rare exceptions (boston last year, and look where that got them in the grand scheme).

We are 8-2-1 and we lose one game in a shootout on the road and suddenly we're worse than a 2-7-1 team? You're very knowledgeable, but you're very hyperbolic too.

We're in a good place. Things will be okay.

Call it excuses it you must. I call it common sense to explain a bad game. I'll get back to you if it continues. I'm not going to bury them for 1 bad game that they still managed a point.

It’s going to be a crappy month, and games are going to look like that, well hopefully not that bad, but bad with the players they have for defense.

Be happy they only have 3 games in the next 13 days, let Igor heal up from whatever is nagging him.

Hopefully Chytil feels better in a few weeks, and then hopefully Fox is back after his ten games.

We're 8-2-1 by 9 of those games we're with Fox.

BTW, we will really miss Kreider when he retires. He's an all time great at a very useful skill.

Zibanejad and Trocheck both should've scored in the shootout, both were trying to gently guide the puck into the net. If either of them just finished with some mustard on their shots, they're in the net they both had Fleury beat.
Yep. Lift the damn thing. Both were on their forehand

I was of sound mind before puck drop, but now I find myself confused, dazed, wondering if Ed was right and we let the chosen one go. I stare, muttering to myself, sign kane, sign kane, like the drones of the masses on twitter but i cannot stop. sign kane. bring vitali home. what could have been if michael sauer never retired?
Rangers fandom wears on a person

the time has come to try Cuylle with Zibanejad and Kreider. at least he actually gets to the middle of the ice and gets scoring chances. I cant remember one single time all season that Kakko had a scoring chance, even his goal was just dumping in a puck that squirted through the goalie.

It's the first game without Fox so let's give them a chance to find their bearings. In time they will adjust and be better for it in the long run. Let's hope and not dump on them right away.

The team is 8-2-1 and 3rd overall in the league, everyone needs to chill.

They were missing their best player and D, their 2c and had the backup goalie in net tonight. Also, this schedule of the long west coast trip and home for one game and back to the road to Minnesota for another is horseshit. That is effectively a 15 day, 7 game road trip from NY->Seattle->Vancouver->Calgary->Edmonton->Winnipeg->NY->Minnesota->NY. That's total bullshit. They were really gassed tonight, it was obvious. I don't like making excuses, but that's important context on top of the EXTREMELY key pieces missing from the lineup.

One positive is Quick was pretty damn good again, he was really hung out to dry. And this team still found a way to tie it back up and get a point in a game they in no way deserved anything.

I really like Kakko but if he doesn't start to make things happen and produce, he could be on his way out of town. I wouldn't be shocked at all to see Drury dangle him at this point and see what's out there, I'm just getting worried Kakko isnt going to be the player the Rangers need him to be. I feel like he could be a Val Nichusken who eventually figures it out later in his career after a disappointing start.

Those penalties kept a lot of key players on the bench for an extended period of time and stole our soul. I honestly hate when this team gets up too many goals, they fold and try to defend instead of continuing to pressure every time
Not saying the penalties weren’t warranted but going up three on the road, we all know there’s another shoe going to drop. In this case the rangers sagged and did stupid things. And even though they got through that first period, Minnesota got their legs and the rangers rangered.
Tl;dr. Rangers on the road on a Saturday night.
