Crazy coming out of the gate like that getting 3, the were looking dominant.

Credit to the Wild for pushing back the way they did. This was the first game since NSH the Rangers fell out of their system for large stretches.

It made it difficult with all the changes. It was apparent how much Fox helps with zone exits and opening up space and time for himself and his teammates. He helps restore the flow/momentum everytime he’s out there

Thought Quick was good. Need more from Zib. Kakko has been disappointing. He’s not even doing the things he usually does maintaining possession. Big time funk

Take the point and reset

we got wooped. lucky to get a point, so embarrassing to go up 3-0 and have to scratch and claw for a 4th goal just to tie it up. not a good game at all for us healthy, but since we're so depleted, it was a decent result.
Embarrassing is not a right word.

Maybe some of you missed this “tide” change but last season had a record number of games in the NHL where a team would get to tie or go ahead from a 3-goal or more deficit.

Yeah this isn’t true lol.

They were banged up and played like shit. When that happens most teams look bad.

Minnesota isn’t even that quick so that murders this theory.
Listen ComeOverArtemi, fast teams pin the rangers in, been like that for years, our players are slow. Regardless of last night's circumstances, this has been evident.

Yeahhh I’d hold off on making statements like this considering the coaching staff change uh…. 1995AOLSignin.

Slow teams don’t get pinned in by fast teams all the time. Your favorite Devils are way faster than the Canes and they got clown pounded by them.

What? I hate the Devils. My favorite team is the 2014 LA Kings.

The Canes are forechecking machines, even the game we won (and we played them well), they forechecked us and cycled well throughout the 3rd. You need speed to do that.

Yeah it was the best I could do lol.

We held even with Carolina with a roster that was 2 short. Look at what they’ve done on offense to other teams and then look at what we were able to do to them.

The only line that really needs juice is line 4.

we do have some dead weight on the team Kakko, Goodrow, Schneider, Trocheck blows too
Trochek is fine if he's playing with grinding type players, his best stretch and i would argue Kreiders last year was when the two of them were together, but Trochek can't play with Panarin, he can't even play with Lafreniere, they are looking to achieve their goals through different methods. Imo split Kreider and Zib and join Kreider and Trochek, number the lines whatever way makes you happy but whatever one Panarin is on is line 1.

The Zibanejad line has to be broken up, point blank. Leave Panarin with Lafreniere because that seems to be actually working but he's gotta get Kakko away from Kreider and Zibanejad.

Call up Othmann when Goodrow gets back. Brodzinski sucks.

And does Ben Harpur still exist? That dude played some excellent league-minimum hockey last year and is 1000x better defensively than Jones
Harpur is one of the worst hockey players i've ever seen.

Kreider - Trochek - Kakko
Panarin - Brodzinski - Laf
Cuylle - Zibanejad - Wheeler

Lav said after the Nashville game that he left his lines together because he wants to give the team a chance to respond. I think that is correct. If it's bad after another period or two I would switch Kakko and Laffy. Maybe Panarin can spark Kakko and maybe Laffy can spark Mika and Kreids.

I just don't like Trochek. I will root for him to do well and have a Matteau moment, lead the team to victory and all of course. Something about him just rubs me the wrong way.

And I'm not talking about his singing on the bench jumping around like a kid on a sugar high personality.

He just does dumb things on the ice all the time and never learns. He's almost as bad with the unnecessary slashing penalties as Sean Avery was with the offsides.

It doesn't really matter, and this is way more a comment on the boards than a comment on the player, but every two seconds somebody comments on Cuylle being moved up.

If not for the Canes goal, you literally could have convinced me we sent him down after the Columbus game. That's how much I've noticed him.

I think we're just looking for something to not be sad about.
