The laughing was the worst part.
Don't worry, it's an empty laugh. Winning a season opener still won't make up for losing game 7 in 2014.
The laughing was the worst part.
Only if you're a whiny ass prima donna kings fan. The hit was clean, get over it. No one is talking about it, because there's nothing worth talking about, unless, once again, you're a whiny ass, prima donna kings fan.
Yeesh, no wonder other fans hate some of us.
I'm really surprised that there is so little chatter about the Couture hit on Lucic around the league. That hit was clean from a rule book standpoint, but it was a dirty, cheap play from a game situation standpoint. All these people saying "beauty hit" and all this other garbage have never played the game on any level. At that point in the game, with that score, knowing the player does not suspect it, that hit is delivered for no reason other than malice. Any player in any league would respond to that hit accordingly because they would understand the intent of it immediately. Anyone who thinks Couture didn't know what he was doing is being incredibly naive.
Ditto. Couture is a ****ing idiot for being surprised at the result. I'm glad Lucic went ballastic. Couture always has this stupid surprised look on his face - his regular face.
I'm not the only one that feels this way. Guys jumping out of the box or off the bench have no business throwing an immediate hit. Couture knew what he was doing, it was a ***** move, especially after an emotional game.
It's not worth discussing in a national context but it was a clear precursor to Lucic's anger.
Is that in the rule book??? You're trying to make something an absolute, out of something grey, VERY grey.
The look on Lucic face as he went down the tunnel said it all, "There will be a reckoning"

It was a completely legal hit, but worth talking about due to the situation (score, time). Those things aren't mutually exclusive.
ok then, with how much time left, and at what score deficit is it ok?

When it's not under 2 min and the game is already well decided. It was 5-1 with under 2 min to go with horseface in the box, then it escalated the moment he came out.
Of course he did it on purpose. Do you think that Couture accidentally knocked Lucic on his ass? And since when is it NOT ok to go to the bench, coming out of the penalty box.
This one is 100% on Lucic.
Alrighty then. Kings are up 5-1 with a little time left in the third, Brown exits the box, and crushes Hertl. What happens?
