I'm not the only one that feels this way. Guys jumping out of the box or off the bench have no business throwing an immediate hit. Couture knew what he was doing, it was a ***** move, especially after an emotional game.
It's not worth discussing in a national context but it was a clear precursor to Lucic's anger.

Very good points. I brought this up in the GDT, Couture basically was waiting for him when he came of the box and knew he had a free shot at him. He was already in the box for running Quick, then tried to low bridge Lucic the moment he came out.

No, it's not a rule, and it's far from an absolute; I'm just saying I can understand why he's pissed off because as a player I LOATHE that play, you can't defend yourself against it and you often can't see it coming, a guy coming from off the playing surface directly into you is garbage. Especially one who knows the game situation and is trying to show your team up in a blowout.

Perfect serial killer face. Regardless of how he's played (which I still think it's ridiculous to judge him after a couple games, but nevertheless many are writing him off already), there is no denying he is one mean SOB. His build, attitude, and expressions are badass. I hope this guy has a monster season.

Alrighty then. Kings are up 5-1 with a little time left in the third, Brown exits the box, and crushes Hertl. What happens?

Running someone when they are coming out of the box when you are up 5-1 that late in the game is like stealing a base when you are 10-1 in the in the top of the 9th in baseball. Or leaving in your starters when there is 2:30 left in a football game when you are leading 73-6.
