And, surprisingly, quite a few people in 'that' main board thread agree. No, it's not 'illegal' as per the rulebook, but since when was that the criteria for which you stick up for yourself/your team?

You're going to have to trust some of us a little on this one, bud. It's just a dick move and I can fully understand why Lucic was pissed. I don't want him doing that all the time, but when a piece of **** on our primary rival is trying to show us up with a cheap hit exiting the penalty box at the end of a blowout, I'm good with it. If you're not one for unwritten rules, you won't understand, but if you don't understand, it's definitely not right to be calling anyone 'whiners'.

First off, I said to stop your "whining", didn't call you guys "whiners".

Secondly, although the sharx may have won the game, I think they had plenty of reasons to want to get even with the kings. A late hit by Greene, AA pounding on a shark who clearly wanted no part of AA, and I believe Brown had a questionable hit.

And believe me, I'm not condoning what Couture did. I just don't think it warrants as much attention as you guys have been giving it.

I'll love him when he does something worthy on the scoresheet. For now he just looks like a clown, and a high priced one at that.

I haven't commented a single time in regarding the hit on Lucic, but please don't be that poster who tries to dictate how others should feel about a certain topic and how much it's discussed. That's one my biggest message board pet peeves. It's in the same vein of the posters who in 2012 constantly said "Don't celebrate or get too confident yet" after every Kings victory that drew them closer to the Cup.
 
HYORI, I understand where you're coming from and your argument, but I think myself and several others don't see it as black and white as you do. It's definitely a gray area and considering we're still talking about it, it's worthy of discussion. It's fine if you don't want to consider it a topic worth discussing, but several others here do.

Nah, actually, I'm the one who's saying it's a grey area. In any case, my main point should have been that I thought some of you guys were placing too much of the blame on Couture, and none on Lucic. I understand the time and the score should factor into Couture's actions, but that doesn't excuse Lucic for not knowing who's in the penalty box, and how much time he had left on it. It just sounded like bunch of spoiled babies to me, and I hate that about our board. We've become too whiny, and too quick to point finger at others, and not enough at ourselves.

Personally, I thought the Andreoff pummeling of Goodrow was far worse sportsmanship than what Couture did to Lucic, but apparently, I'm the only one that feels that way.

The reality of the situation is that every board has whiners, while the main boards are a ****show.

If you didn't realize that, then the problem lies with you, not everyone else.

Calling people spoiled brats who are too whiny... it's not what you did, but how you went about doing it.


On another note, it's been a whopping 1 game into the season, and yes the sun will still rise tomorrow and the boards will still get bumped, stickied, and everything that comes with the highs and lows of loving your team.

Let's not forget we've just won 2 Stanley Cups rather than icing a team with Jeff Guilano, Jason LOLBarbera, and Terry Murray behind the bench.
 
It was my first chance to see Lucic on the Kings last night. He looked totally out of sync honestly.

I don't know if that was an off night or that's how it's been so far, but hopefully he finds chemistry with Kopitar, and soon.

The guy or gal is probably right around 52 years age (deductive reasoning at work), so we can assume a significant amount of flab and hair in large quantities and in all the wrong places.

So to answer your question, no, you cynical old **** in a young man's body and soul. :)
