So have a few mates in Australia who recently got into NFL so we started a fantasy league, it’s a only a 5 player league but thought we could give a crack, is my team any good?
It depends on the league settings, but I would generally put a bit more emphasis on RBs (although the injury risk is huge). I really like the depth your team has (although this might be common in a five-team league), so perhaps you want to trade a few non-starters for a good RB?

Detroit Lions Podcast has kicked off their annual St. Jude fundraiser again. Had a great interview with Dan Miller earlier. This is my favorite Lions podcast. A good cause if you have an extra dollar or two to donate or just check in for the Lions content.

So the Pistons have Cade who is legit awesome. Then they have a bunch of shitty old players. They need to gut that team. I'm still super bitter the league rigged it so the Spurs could win the Wemby lottery.

I don't really follow the Pistons or the NBA, but I've tried watching a few games to start the year and I'm confused by this. I've heard a bit of hype of players from the last 3 drafts, and I've seen them when I've tuned in. It looks like 6 out of their 8 players leading in minutes are 22 or under. 1 of those other 2 is 24.

Yeah, not sure what Konnan's referring to. They're the second youngest team in the league by average age and the youngest by average age with usage factored in...

Duren is a beast. Ivey is good not sure why he’s not starting (I could be wrong but I think killian is) and Cade is good. If Aus develops a shot he’s a beast (better chance than killian). Idk what old guys your talking about though

Who is they? And what does other teams potentially cheating have to do with Michigan not cheating?
I think its pretty obvious the issue is pretty rampant in the B1G and all these coaches and ADs that were apparently all crying to the commissioner are hypocrites. Although a report did come out and say the reporting that all the ADs and coaches being unanimously in favour of punishing Michigan arent true.

From some of the stuff I've read, Michigan has some info that they could go nuclear on a lot of the conference but they dont want to unless theres an unfair punishment to the program. From the sounds of it, any punishment will be unfair if a few other schools dont get punished as well

So they have information that the integrity of the game has been compromised, and they are withholding it? Not exactly a good look. Can't imagine Vegas will be happy

And it sounds like a toddler throwing a tantrum.

Yeah, but if I'm gonna get in trouble for cheating, then they did it too!

Bust every last team that did it, insist on the helmets to transmit the signals so it can't happen again, and move forward.

Funny thing about all this is that sign-stealing isn’t even against the rules, or illegal. It’s just that certain methods of stealing signs are allowed and other methods aren’t. Like everything with the NCAA, their rules are non-sensical, ambiguous, and often contradictory.

It’s become pretty clear that it’s much ado about nothing, other than that every institution is trying to get a leg up on the others, whether that’s by stealing signs or by advocating for punishment of their opponents by lobbying to the conference/NCAA.

Ultimately, yes, allow radios in helmets and just avoid all this drama. But again, it’s the NCAA. This is an institution that cares if a team sends a flyer to a potential recruit with colored pictures instead of black and white.

This whole thing is just super dumb. It’s an easy fix, put the technology in the helmets so you can just radio in the calls and you wouldn’t have this stuff happening. Also, I find this outrage over semantics to be hilarious. You got Stephen A Smith calling for a playoff ban when Purdue got third party in person advanced play signals from OSU-and Rutgers, it’s literally the same rules Michigan broke but just in a different manner. Where’s the outrage over that? I hope Michigan takes down the whole conference if they’re going to get isolated out in all this. It’s a joke

Ryan Day looks super soft in all of this. He bitched and complained over this but knew he was doing the same damn thing. Massive rat

You get people getting suspended for a season, multiple seasons, or life for gambling because of the implication that it might impact the integrity of the game.

Flat out take a shit all over the integrity of the game? Meh, whatever.

It's not a very well-kept secret that all teams in NCAA football steal signs, or attempt to steal signs. Always have. And again, it is not against the rules. It's considered gamesmanship, no different than trying to gain any other legal advantage on the field. Don't want your signs stolen? Hide them better. Or change them more often. Or design them in a way that makes it harder to steal them.

So your of the impression everything Michigan did was legal and within the established rules?

There is no rule against sign stealing if you are on the sideline during the game. There are rules against video recording signals and signs. It's cut and dry. Whether these are stupid rules or not is irrelevant. Michigan cheated. Michigan broke current rules. Michigan broke the current rules so blatantly, it's amazing how stupid they were while doing it.

Do i think a ban or Head Coach Firing is in order? Make it a yearly tradition to suspend Harbaugh to begin every season. Cut back on scholarships by 20-30%.
