Brad Galli is a king for asking about the District progress.
Didn't watch the answer but I'm guessing it was something like... "We all want what's best for the city of Detroit. These things take time. We're trying to do more good things than bad things and over time those good things should outweigh the bad things."

You're not far off lol. I think this linked should be timestamped for anyone interested in the exact question and response, but there's not much to chew on.

3 weeks ago, when he was placed on the restricted list, it was reported to be in regards to “marital issues.”

It looks a bit worse than it is because of the timeframe. Under Dombrowski, the Tigers sometimes didn't have first-round picks. The drafts from 2018 seem to be a little more productive, but the Tigers are also bottom of the barrel with regard to WAR from IFA signings (probably only better than Baltimore, who abstained from these).

I find that drafted WAR misleading, as other that the Astros, it doesn’t necessarily translate into winning % either.

Like the 1st comment, over 50% of it on the Astros is from 3 players. More likely than not, play like garbage, garbage team drafts high, gets better players.

It also includes some of DD’s drafts, so it’s not he was always hitting on great players either. Seriously, take out JV, and his drafted WAR is probably meh.

Add in 2009, and Anaheim would suddenly look amazing.

Where DD generally did much better, is turning pumpkins into something over trades. That’s where Avila has been complete trash. Has he done anything on any trade? I don’t think so, Candy is alright I guess.

Having said all that, I’ll take beating Cleveland and Chicago recently. My only worry is that Chris will continue with this path.

Calling up Greene gave them such a shot in the arm, and Miggy can still hit. Do wonder about Torkelson though, I keep waiting for that adjustment, but it hasn’t happened.

Duren looked excellent last night but didn't play the second half. He just joined the team, so it could be a fitness precaution.

Ivey was erratic at times in the first half, but showed a lot of what gets people excited. Really thrived at getting to the basket in the second half, and looked good shooting the ball at the line and from three.

Stewart hitting threes is encouraging, that could change the dynamic of our offense if it becomes somewhat reliable.

It's only summer league, but Troy Weaver and the Pistons are putting something exciting together. Good time to jump back on the wagon for any fans who may have fallen off after the Goin' to Work era.

That sounded kind of nuts. But I've never felt the altitude (never been to) of Colorado so I wouldn't know.

I probably agree with this. Even though I only vaguely know what's going on with the Lions and Tigers based on what I hear from others. The NHL is way less predictable (and so far, less 'game managed') than the NBA.
