A part of me wanted Green Bay to win. Not something I ever anticipated I would ever feel. The appeal of beating them in the NFC Championship was strong. Here I am throwing shade at Tampa Bay assuming Lions will be hosting the NFC Championship. Forgive me, Tampa Bay, but I am injecting Honolulu Blue Kool-Aid into my veins.

I hope you guys get the W but even more hope the 49ers lose next week and want nothing more than that.

Still hard for me to swallow the L last night, gave the game away, should've been Packers @ Lions NFCCG.

They won!!!

No idea if they can pull one out in San Francisco, but it's a lot more fun watching a team that deserves to be in the playoffs.

The youngest team to ever enter the playoffs took the #1 seed right to the wire. And like you're saying here, it's tough, because they looked better for much of the game. Credit to LaFleur, he coached a good enough game to win.

But I think we all knew this wasn't the Packers year and the inexperience would come to get them eventually. Missed so many critical plays that could have turned it into a win. Or you know, at least get it to OT (damn kickers). Gotta dust off and get to work this summer.

Gotta give props to the Lions. Head to California and show them what's up in the North.

The NFL is pretty low on my sports interest scale. BUT! I am finding myself caught up in the zeitgeist of the moment. This is great for the city and the long suffering Lions fans. They deserve this moment.

Honestly, the thing that really roped me in was seeing a Tik Tok of Hutch rallying the defense against the Rams saying, "let's do this for the city of Detroit". I was so effing in after that.

The main thing that makes me sad is another heartbreaking loss to San Fran.

Keep the boys hungry. Should be a fun season for us next year, but for now, Go Lions and enjoy the run guys.

I have been too a bit

I kinda hated Football growing up to be honest, it was the whole stopping and starting after every single play thing I didn't vibe with the flow of it even a little bit

honestly I still don't like it nearly as much as Hockey and hate how it feels like there's 50 commercials after every other play but overall i've been enjoying it a lot more giving it a bit of a chance for the first time in a decade+

tastes changing a bit as I get older and am now in my 30s I guess

For the conference championships, both the 1 seeds are obviously favored. But if the 3 seeds both pull an upset, it would result in the same matchup for the opening and closing games of the season.

At least that's what the football fan in me thinks about. As a dad, I get to listen to my teenage daughter ask if we can get Super Bowl tickets so she can see Taylor Swift at the game. (That one gets my best Doctor Evil impression: "How 'bout no!")
