Well this one is BS compared to the OG

A title is a title but they had better work like a team in Korea in order to medal.

Bilya was a clueless inept idiot. Nice to see the elder Tikhonov watching.

Kummola is not well liked by the Finnish players either. If looks could kill......

Let me summarize: **** this, show up next time for the OG!

Yeah, just about. They can celebrate now... until Toews and Doughty show up and beat the ***** out of them.

Still, congratulations. They were the only country that cared.

Congratulations Russia! Well deserved and great to see Ovechkin and the whole team enjoy the victory to the fullest. Good game.

Extremely disappointed here of course, but proud of this team. As far as the reffing goes... Yeah, IIHF reffing is what it is. That's all there is to say. That's not an excuse.

Go Leijonat!

I had granted the Finns the title and even hoped they can beat Russia may be.
But come on Finns stop complaining about the referees. There were bad calls and wrong decisions but don't forget that the Finns didn't even reach the quarterfinal if the referees in the Switzerland-USA game hadn't wrongly cancelled two goals of Switzerland.

the reffing was bad and finns were better than expected. we won so we are better it's as simple as than, to give credit for the win to refs, putin and some other passers-by is just pathetic

Aman for that. But you can't deny it, that Finns get more hit for poor reffing?

Before the Finns started gooning it up (the last two penalties), they had gotten only one more penalty than the Russians.

No excuses, the better team won. We had our chances, but we couldn't capitalize on them. The Russians did and that's why they won. Russia was dominant throughout the tournament, and they deserved the win.

Respect :yo:

Great game and tournament for Russia! Valiant fight for the Finns. Its hard to pull off a 10-game win streak when every team is playing for their country, and every team has a target specifically on you. Russia ran the gauntlet and came out in brilliant colors.

Since everyone kept saying that Ovi and Malkin were the big edge that Russia had, this was the day to show it, and they did so big time. It was starting to look like the same old story after the Finns jumped ahead 2-1, but Ovi and Geno put the team on their back in the second. In the 3rd, it was all Russia.

The refs can be criticized for making a lot of ticky-tack calls, but they made the calls both ways against both teams. Those press reports saying that the referees' families had been released from what Putin called an Arctic Gulag "vacation home" are unconfirmed.

It doesnt matter if it was biased or not. What is pissing me off, that this **** reffing made a really great hockey game with a well deserved winner (even more, if we look at the whole tournament) a game with a taste. It started awesome. But after the 5 vs. 3 ... it felt wrong. Anyway great game of both teams. And party hard neighbours!
