Lehterä is a natural center which makes the transition hard for him, both he and Kontiola like to have the puck and have that pass first mentality.
Haula probably plays PK because he did it in Minnesota...

I get the transition difficulty but doesn't he have experience playing wing with Kontiola.

I didn't mean Haula was bad in PK but we have 2 1/2 lines worth of grinders for that "role", why not save Haula's energy for more offensive role?

How on Earth is Lehterä supposedly a top-10 player in KHL? :shakehead
Who says that he is? I doubt I'd rank him among the Top 25 forwards. He may collect a ton of points but that is primarily to the rest of Sibir playing "for him".

The penalty was a good imo, the US player might gotten into a breakaway.

The giveaway that lead to it wasn't.

There's little chance Latvia could have won any of these teams the way they keep playing tonight.

It's not just about that situation. He's been lackluster throughout the tournament. And camp.

This thread is about USA vs. Finland.

Yeah, I know he hasn't been as good as we expected him to be. But I wouldn't judge his entire season by seeing him play about ten games. He is a center. Shouldn't we be disappointed in Erkka who makes him play as a winger when it seems he isn't good at it?

One of the worst games i've watched in a long time. Both teams are just terrible.

good job hietanen, fail to block the shot and make sure the goalie won't see it at the same time.
