Well, yes and no. Yes, all hail Jagr, gongrats and all, and like I said, if we can't beat Czechs despite the refs, no hope against Canada. No, IIHF needs to get this **** sorted out. Let me put this way, after a game looser whining about refs being biased should be ridiculuded by simply pointing to what happened on ice. We should be able to go over replays, and point out that it the ones complaining are being silly. The problem, huge problem, is that we can't. Because they are right. Hockey nowadays is a small margin game, and bad refs really do decide games.
I hope team Finland files a formal complaint. Not because of the loss, but because this **** is getting out of hand. This is the second spring in row, with reffing that is abysmal. It needs to change. Hire some NHL refs or some thing.

uhhh I think that would be the other way around. Czechs beat the Finnish trap like they stole something

My say is that if this eastern european corrupted reffereing does not stop something is going to happen.
This is second year in a row Finland suffers from corrupted refs...
Im a rich investment banker, and I'm soon gonna bribe those refs if this doesn't stop..

But i'd be kind of ashamed how the ref had a +2 goal influence for the other way.
WE BOTH FINLAND AND SWEDEN SUFFER ALWAYS AGAINST THE OTHER BIG NATIONS... unfair.. this way hockey will always stay as a marginal sport, never would have happened in football wc

+1 same thing happened on Tuesday. Oh yeah, but the Swedes aren't exactly Eastern European.
Loosing is one thing. We can deal with that, better team won.
, no problem, that is hockey. But when the whole team does their best to stay out of the box, notice for example zero hooking on forecheck, and the result is bs like Kontiola penalty, yes, we complain. Get over it.

My thoughts. The better team rightfully won. Team Finland has some terrible defence and in the end it bite us in the @ss. Second power play goal for Czechs was deserved as there was clearly a foul play on the play leading to discarded goal and it was the right decision by referees. I thought Rinne played good, first goal probably should have been saved. But it happens. Pavelec was terrible. If I was Czech coach I would consider going with Salak, as I thought Pavelec was as insecure as they (goalkeepers) come. Only reason why the score was so close.
I don't think Czechs have any chance beating Canada, if Pavelec is playing.
That's exactly my point. Yes, the call was questionable, but this whining after the game is driving me crazy.
I thought it was the right call. Sad but true. A stupid, stupid penalty which probably cost us the game.

And on that powerplay a Finn stick gets slashed of the player's hands, no penalty but a goal.

1. check d shoots the puck to altonens stick which broke and he held the stick for 1 sec and got a penalty
2. check pp and one slahses kemppainen's stick away which was totally out of play and cezch score
3. Finland score a totally fine goal, but same time the refree makes a phantom call and give pp and they score
so they led to 3 goals and took 1 away from fin...

I don't think they have much chance with either goalie, but Salak played at least as poorly as Pavs in this tournament, so not sure it is time to put him in spotlight again.
When either goalie is playing, it makes one think "they should put in other goalie."
