I think the funniest thing about playing in this new division is that everytime the Leafs win, the other fan bases react as if they lost to some garbage team and act as if the Leafs are a bottom team.

Like at what point do the other fan bases look at the record the Leafs have, the goal differential etc and realise that the Leafs are good?

I understand that the Leafs have their flaws but to be so delusional to think this is some team that has lucked into their position is hilarious. Even look at the last few seasons the Leafs have comfortably made the playoffs regularly.

The thing that gets me is you still see comments about the Leafs being poor defensively. I guess when you're so bad for so long at something it's hard to shake a reputation but it's so demonstrably false the Leafs have bad defense this year.

It amazes me how much better the team is on good ice.
Playing at home we can't make any passes and we seem slow.
Can we just play rest of our games on the road?
The ice looked terrible last night? The puck didn’t look like it wanted to lay flat after 3 mins of gameplay.

2 games against the flames with a very injured squad doesn’t mean our ice is bad

Well, lots of things change and people don't pay attention to many things, including those changes. It's pretty common. Probably quite a few people still think the Coyotes are the team to unload all of their unwanted LTIRs. That's just a hockey related example, but, my comment was much broader than that. Many people are slow to recognize what's happening in the world around them and try to cling to old, outdated and unproductive ideas.

Reactions: The Hanging Jowl
Thornton(Hyman) - Matthews - Nylander
Simmonds - Tavares - Marner
Hyman - kerfoot- soup
Barabanov - Boyd - engvall

Holy... Imagine

Simmonds-Matthews-Nylander (Simmonds beats the F outta whoever messes with Papi/Willy)
Jumbo-Tavares-Marner
Mikheyev-Kerfoot-Hyman (Hardcore-high energy fast 3rd line)
Galchenyuk-Spezza-Barabanov/Boyd/Engvall

That is a freakin' STACKED line up

(credit where credit is due.... good job dubas)

Last night's game was a regular season treat and one we'll go back to for a long time. What an effort. Everything was there: goals, saves, defensive plays, scoring from different lines, sticking up for the goalie (in 0.04 sec), shut out, etc.

Is it too soon discuss Spezza getting this move from a former Leaf Great?

Leafs are #1 in points and point percentage league wide, they might be good.

The Leafs are damn good this regular season. It's not even a thing anymore where the hockey world is waiting for them to fall off. Too much balance, good defensive play, character, game breakers, goaltending, etc.

The Leafs are going to challenge now and in the playoffs.

Haha I love the petiness between EDM and TOR fans.

Good for the Leafs to win the game without the best player playing (the best player amongst both teams ;))
I mean they put our player's names in their PGT's, call for our players to be injured, and say our players look like pedophiles. It's honestly disturbing at this point how obsessed they are with the Leafs.

?

Last night shows how the lines need to be. Yet you proceed to show us a line up where only one line is kept the same?

Well, we could go sit Matthews and Simmons then? Apologies if my wording was off.
