I mean....come on.....who are we fooling here? His skate rises up as high as the crossbar.

You understand there was forward motion right? That's where he ends up. All you have to do is watch the gif in the first post. If you want to say the top of his shin made the most contact with Campbell's head, fine. I'm sure that made it feel better.

Well, it was more like upper-middle, rather than the top. Of course no where near his knee like some are trying to profess.

Oh... so his knee slid all the way from his head to the middle of his back which is like one and a half feet. Like sliding into 2nd base.
You're reaching. Come on. That makes no sense. For that to happen Tkachuk would have had to be forcefully shoved in a horizontal direction... which negates all the arguments that he did it on purpose.

Agreed. It’s hilarious the reach some people make to agree with their own bias.

So, is the defense of this "He kicked him with his shin?"

He didn’t kick him, he was pushed by former teammate Brodie and lost his balance. You should be careful assuming he did it on purpose when it’s clear it was an accident.

Are you not seeing his left leg rise up?
When you try to balance yourself, doesn’t your leg move a little up in the air? Mine does. Try using a balance disk and see if your leg rises a little.

Sure...it can. It doesn't rise over the rest of my body. This guys leg shoots straight up into the air. I certainly don't drive my leg straight down afterwards. I mean, come on man. You can see him pull his leg back with force. That's not a "balancing motion".

You can't genuinely believe this, you're just being disingenuous. Brodie is bent over with his hands nowhere near Tkachuk, "pushing" Tkachuk is impossible.

Not surprised with the result. Tkachuk is a dirty player but he knows how to mask it.

I am loving the "he just fell" crowd. You known in your heart of hearts that he cocked his leg back and drove it down.
If it was any other player outside of like three -- I would disagree, likely would give them the benefit of the doubt.

Tkachuk does not deserve the benefit of the doubt, especially after seeing that .gif. Dangerous, stupid play by him.

This is a key point too. It's the Marchand effect. That being said, this particular incident screams "on purpose".

Because I’m a mod, does that mean I can’t be a fan? Tkachuk is literally my favourite hockey player, he plays the game within the game better than any other player in the league. It’s a lost art what he does, he plays the psychological aspect of hockey as good as Claude Lemieux.

If I actually believed Tkachuk meant to injure Campbell, I wouldn’t be condoning it. But he always walks that line in order to make his opponents come undone. I have zero issues with the play. Every single GM would absolutely love Tkachuk on their team because of how he plays the game. Tkachuk is going to be our eventual captain and management just loves the kid.

Claude lemieux was the biggest piece of shit in the history of the nhl, the fact you think so highly of him automatically makes anything you say about this incident utterly worthless. Good job on the comparison though, spot on!

Of course they see it, the overwhelming majority of people here see it, except for a few people who have nothing else better to do than bust balls.

Just checking in to see if he's suspended yet. Please continue with the outrage.

As I mentioned earlier, he disguised it well enough there is nothing conclusive for "Player Safety" to act upon... but to actually believe it was not intentional, or dirty, is ridiculous.

Watching it live I was shocked at how relatively obvious it was.
