Matthew "The Knee" Tkachuk suspension incoming?

If you know anything about combat sports at all, I mean anything, event the smallest bit of white belt training, you would know the deadliest blow is a blow to the back of the head, especially a knee. You've obviously never been involved in a contact/combat sport looking at your comments.

I beg to differ, the deadliest blow has to be the crane kick .

He fell on Campbell from losing balance due to Brodie hitting him. What else is there for me to say?
Take it up with Brodie if you didn’t want to see this play occur.

You could be objective, and just admit it was a dirty play and he's not some innocent victim being slandered. He could have done more to prevent what he did, that's basically all that needed to be said. Instead you went another route. In general when the only people defending a play are almost only your fanbase it's not a great sign.

No one really expected a suspension, but dirty hits happen without suspensions all the time.

I have said that in earlier posts. He probably could have lessened the impact when he fell. Still not a dirty play and for sure not suspendable like some delusional fans are saying. Completely outrageous and borderline malicious statements being thrown around.

If he could have done more to lessen the impact, it certainly looks a little dirty to not do so. It was never going to be a suspension, but that still doesn't make it a clean hit.

It’s not a dirty play to fall down when you lose balance. Also not a dirty play if you fall on a goalie when you lose balance, regardless if you can lessen the impact.

First Jack Campbell not only downplayed it and called Tkachuk a very good player for the way he plays, but now Sheldon Keefe sees nothing wrong with the play

But oh well. Keep calling for blood and a life-long suspension. Tkachuk will keep doing what he does and us Flames fans will all absolutely love him for it.

I honestly love how hated he is by everyone. It's hilarious. Pisses everyone off for every little play he makes. Pure entertainment

Well, would you look at that. Who would have thought? Overreaction? You bet! Time to close the thread.

It's honestly more sad that you let a hockey player play around with your emotions with every little action he does.

I'm not the one saying I get pleasure in other people being upset. I think it was a dirty play but I don't really care personally, it's a game that has no real impact on my life apart from being happy when they win and disappointed when they don't.

Says more about him as a person when the benefit of the doubt is basically gone already.

Hard to tell from a sped up, two second gif though.

I can't believe I'm even entertaining this nonsense, but if you watch the play in slow motion you see Tkachuk's right skate get pushed across his body to his left side by Brodie while his left skate is in the air. He has no choice but to fall over at that point, which he does.

I'm just glad Campbell is alive, really.

Is anyone questioning he might fall? The issue is what he does with his left leg.

Mr. Accidentally-On-Purpose TkaCluck is at it again.

If any Leaf goes after him next game, you Leaf fans are in for one of the greatest reptile shows on the planet - The Amazing Giant Red Turtle.
I'd say the Leafs should go after Calgary's best player to send a msg but after watching that game....I honestly don't know who it would be.
I'm honestly surprised people think the appropriate response here is to fight him. He's lucky he hasn't been cross-checked and lost about 10 teeth with his antics.
There's 7 more games I think.

In the second last game, break his jaw, take the suspension and be back for GM1 of the playoffs.

its a dirtbag move. Amazing how many accidents happen around this player - cuts by skate, head shots, slew foots....all by accident of course. If a leaf did that to Markstrom flames fans would be up in arms.
