And that’s coming from, again, someone who thought the Bastian hit was dirty at first/full speed. Full retraction upon replay. Not a blindside hit at all. No elbow lift. No nothing.

I can’t tell if this is sarcasm or not. I assume it is? But with people literally calling for him to be kicked out of the league, it’s kind of hard to tell at this point.

He’s never had real issues in the WHL or AHL. I also assume he was clean in the AJHL, but who knows? He was a big, lanky non-fighter. He started to change his game up a lot in 21.

I got no problem with that play either from him. He'll be paid in part for his bad hits. Everyone wants to have players on their team that are paid for bad hits.

Thing is the suspension doesn’t matter for clowns like this. He’s just there to hit or fight, so he gets a 2 or 3 gamer and it doesn’t matter. Doesnt offer much else so it’s not like losing this guy hurts the Rangers at all. Sit for a couple games and come back and do it all over again!

It's exactly this. The guy contributes nothing on the ice except trying to injure the other team's talent. Well, congrats, he just injured the other team's talent. Now what? He gets a few games off? Wow, that's terrible for the Rangers, they might have to ice someone who can play ice hockey.

Hockey is a contact sport.

I like hockey being played like this. The occasional dirty play only adds to the intensity of the game.

I'm more than willing to accept he should be suspended, but don't make him into a criminal because he had a bad hit. That's taking it way too far.
