I get you’re doing the shtick here, (and conveniently skirted me asking if you think you’re even the slightest bit biased in his favor, which may explain why others seem to have a hard time agreeing with you).
You’re basically openly saying you want him to make more questionable hits so it causes drama. I get the shtick, but I just hope you don’t truly believe there’s been nothing questionable aside from this one that’s so egregious you can’t even bring yourself to deny it.

The only questionable hit he’s had has been this one.
And that’s coming from, again, someone who thought the Bastian hit was dirty at first/full speed. Full retraction upon replay. Not a blindside hit at all. No elbow lift. No nothing.

He should try to play like Chara except for one extremely specific incident, which actually backs up the concept that he has to play with a lot more care

It's also really hard to say a player who's likely suspended 10 games into his NHL career is a clean player.

I can’t tell if this is sarcasm or not. I assume it is? But with people literally calling for him to be kicked out of the league, it’s kind of hard to tell at this point.
He’s never had real issues in the WHL or AHL. I also assume he was clean in the AJHL, but who knows? He was a big, lanky non-fighter. He started to change his game up a lot in 21.

Why shouldn't it be factored in to the suspensions? He was clearly making light of a serious situation.

I got no problem with that play either from him. He'll be paid in part for his bad hits. Everyone wants to have players on their team that are paid for bad hits.

It's exactly this. The guy contributes nothing on the ice except trying to injure the other team's talent. Well, congrats, he just injured the other team's talent. Now what? He gets a few games off? Wow, that's terrible for the Rangers, they might have to ice someone who can play ice hockey.

Hockey is a contact sport.
I like hockey being played like this. The occasional dirty play only adds to the intensity of the game.
I'm more than willing to accept he should be suspended, but don't make him into a criminal because he had a bad hit. That's taking it way too far.

Anyone who jokes around immediately after delivering a dangerous hit should be punished for it. I don't care if they're on my team or any other team.
