Confirming it was a clean hit due to no suspension from the NHL is pretty funny considering how much issue the rangers fans had with Wilson facing no suspension for assaulting Panarin.

The NHL Department of Safety is a joke.

The league said after the fact it should not have been a major.

Yeah I've surely missed quite the display so far, with his grand total of a staggering 50 minutes TOI across 10 games. I'm certain I've missed quite a few impressive shifts displaying his edge work and hockey IQ, right bud?

I've seen enough of his "highlights" to make an assessment, you don't have to try and gatekeep on that one. He'll wash out before the end of next season once the act gets old and his play starts to hurt the Rags in the standings.

I would anticipate guys like Fox and Panarin being held out of a game like that, likely. Depends on if the Devils want to just try and injure guys for the sake of it or want to actually try to play tough hockey.

All it takes is one hit on a valuable player. I'm not endorsing this, but it's not hard to catch a guy like Panarin over the course of a game if a goon's sole intent is to hurt him. It's bad hockey but we're watching it in real time with Rempe.

Devils have a couple AHLers with size that I'm sure would love to collect an NHL paycheck for a few weeks. Nolan Foote come on down, and bring those elbows with you.

I can’t see you guys going that route when we have Trouba and Rempe. I can’t see the Devils being dumb enough to put their own guys in harm’s way.

Reset, retool, and try to get tougher next year. But if they are dumb enough to play games, I would assume they’ll get the same in return.
