I agree, but he actually has looked better than Zacha has so far. Zacha 100% needs to be more assertive. He is playing too much like a complementary player right now. We have two centers that have been tried in top 6 center roles and failed. I am all for giving them another shot, but you have to be crazy not to be looking at that as numero uno if they struggle scoring 5 on 5
If these were the days of Sinden, Carlo and one of the other supporting players would have been traded for a center. I still think Donnie disaster may be forced into such a trade around the 45 game mark.

If he does it like Sinden, Montgomery and McAvoy will come up to Carlo's hotel room and Monty will tell Mac to "open the window".

I'm afraid Poitras will defer too much in his new role. He was playing so well with Frederic and Geekie. His quietest performance in a Bruins' jersey was the exhibition game he played with Marchand on the wing.

Well we all knew this was going to be a huge issue when the lost Bergeron and Krejci, and was never really addressed, but that’s neither here nor there now ,It is what it is it’s a lot to expect Poitras to step up to the top line ,but they really don’t have another alternative,so I guess they give him a look .Coyle tends to like to hold unto the puck alot and so does Marchand,I just don’t think those to are going to work together.

Is Carlo's mentioned as a trade player because he's a very valuable piece to other teams or very expendable as a Bruin?

I think that’s why Marchand has been talking so positively about him.

Forget the bud lite, get this kid one of these:

And for his first hat trick these should hit the ice:

In all seriousness, he's earned every minute he's played and has shown a heck of a compete level and hockey sense across the ice. I hope he can stand up to the long season and not hit a wall but even if he does, he's shown a great combo of smarts and skill and his future is bright if he can continue to build up his game.

Marchand really praised kid up but also mentioned the consistency which I love to hear from him to keep kid focused. Marchand needs a righty centre to utilize his shot better so hopefully this pays off in a couple ways.

Lets see how it looks. Not sure about Geekie at RW... but I understand why Monty did it. To add some size to the line

I still think...Poitras best line would be with Pasta and Zacha. With Poitras at C. Feeding Pasta (and Zacha) passes.

Hey you very well could be right production wise but I still think all those years Brad with Patrice that a right shot centre is better for him but again for benefit of team you could be right.Lord knows I been wrong b4

By better though he would have to be a lot better, 30- something % at the dot last couple seasons when he played center.
I don’t think those numbers mean much. The sample is about 1 draw per game and he’s coming into that draw after the primary center has been kicked out so he can’t be too aggressive or he’ll get a penalty.

Potrias with Marchand is a great spot for him. I know he'll go against the tougher defense, but his vision is already better than Coyle. His quick passing and natural instincts are really going to open up that line. If they need to be more defense near the end of the game they can always shift Coyle back.

The only thing with him is can he handle the grind. Thats really tough on any rookie.. The rest of his game is NHL worthy and the thing that happens natural, strength, will happen. We got a good one.

Makes sense. I don't know numbers exactly to back that up but I was reading an article the other day and Freddy himself said he has to get better at faceoff, don't remember if it was a globe article or nbcsb.

Hopefully. Spooner had 49 points in 80 games in 2015-2016 and he ended up being a bust.

Honestly, I wouldn't call Spooner a bust. He averaged 41 points her 82 games played in the NHL which isn't that bad. He's gone on to lead every team he's been on in the KHL in points with the exception of one year. It was always the rest of his game outside of the skills part that left you wanting more from Spooner and Poitras at 19 shows more attention to playing a complete game than Spooner did at 23 years old, which is a good sign.
