Because of the number why did they give it to him with these idiot fans:facepalm:
I too can't unsee Spooner with that number.

Poitras has been great and the team is using him correctly. Just have to hope he doesn't hit a wall before the 10th game. Even if he doesn't center our top line this year forcing an offensive black hole plug out of the bottom 6 is huge we neeed production from all 4 lines.

He has absolutely no chemistry with Marchand.

His first good shift tonight came when he was on with Frederic, and then he kept it going with Lucic and Geekie. Nice to see him come alive after a quiet night in San Jose.

I’d like to see this line tomorrow

DeBrusk-Poitras- Geekie

I think it could be good

Marchand - Zacha- Pastrnak

The PerZechtion Line could be dominant

I was really concerned after the San Jose game that he had hit a wall and might not be able to bounce back without more time in juniors. I was really curious to see how he'd respond in this game against a tougher LA team. It's safe to say he bounced back in a really impressive way. What an awesome response from the kid. that's NHL player type of resilience. You love to see it.

I don’t mind this but if we could eventually find a top 6 winger to play in Geekie’s spot. It’s just too much to ask of him on a consistent basis, he’s a bottom 6 guy, doesn’t have the offensive ability to keep up and contribute with top 6 linemates. We don’t really have any great options at the moment but Poitras seems to have good chemistry with Freddy so why not Debrusk Poitras Freddy.

Does he go back to Guelph or will they keep him?

It’s up in the air right now honestly, it might come down to the wire. I’d lean toward him staying up as of now as he had a good game last night.

He crushed the pre season, looked really good in the first game, but has been ok to good since getting top six time.

We are continuing to tinker with our top six to see if we can be competitive with him up there. He looked great in a third line role.

He has done really well so far and seems to be able to handle the physical play of the NHL.

I honestly don't see how the Bs can send him back to Guelph based on their center situation alone. Send Poitras back and who fills the hole? What happens if one of the other top 3 centers gets injured and Poitras is in the OHL? Would be a real crappy situation for the Bs. Seems to me that based on his play thus far and the Bs thinness in top 3Cs that Poitras will be a B for the rest of the season.

Reasons to stay:
-Looks and plays like an NHLer
-Bruins lack of top 9 Cs
-Cap hit

Reasons to send him back:
-Will play on top line and top PP to refine his skills for next year with no pressure

It's been so long since the Bruins had an actual teenager on their team. And he still absolutely looks the part. It's like having a friend group and all of the sudden someone's little brother is forced on you. Team dinners and hotel situations must be very strange. If they go out to dinner after tonight's game, they'll order 21 beers and 1 sprite. Hell at that age he's probably still learning the finer points of hygiene and grooming. Good luck roomie!

You drafted him didn’t you?
Absolutely!

But hear me out. If he goes back, I would have to drop him as I'm a contender. I probably lose him to a rebuilder.

I do think sending him back is probably the better option as Bruins are a good team this year, but don't think they are a contender with their cap issues and very thin on depth this year.

For the long term gain of the player and Bruins, and to the detriment of my team, I'd send him back.

I thought his best game as a Bruin was last night. His puck handling and puck protection skills are so much fun to watch.
