He’s so raw. I’m watching the game today as I was traveling yesterday. He has flashes of really good play and then some times when he’s not quite there. Edstrom is the ‘safer’ player in terms of positioning. Rempe plays with more energy. Next year will be both guys. I could see a platoon between the 2 guys for the playoffs.

More than just a fighter obviously. He's been an impactful player when on the ice.

The one area he'll need to get better is being F2 and F3 on the forecheck, but his impact as F1 is massive. These dudes don't want to go into the corners with him.

When you have 4th liners you want to limit the shots against and force the defense to defend you tough. He does that in spades. 9-10 minutes a game where you are grinding the opposing defense?

It's getting in their heads, even Parayko had to take a step back and check where he was and Parayko is one of the bigger defenseman in the league.

He plays to his strength for sure, but he seen some things in the defensive zone that aren’t as spectacular. That’s some of my concern. If that line can move the puck out and work it deep they’re dangerous and Rempe is a big part of that.

It's not easy shifting 240 pounds of mass in a different direction on a dime
It’s not, and he’s still obviously growing into his body. It’s just something that can help elevate his game so he doesn’t get caught turning around so much. I’m not expecting him to skate like Tage Thompson at his size, and this will also improve naturally as he builds more lower body strength

Watched the play right before the Vesey goal. Blues clear the puck towards the red line near the benches. One of the Blues goes to get it, sees Rempe coming and makes a business decision. Basically lets the puck go right by so he doesn't get hit. It was equivalent to a wide receiver with alligator arms who doesn't want to get drilled going over the middle.

Not going to lie. That was a bad hit. I think he's getting suspended. 3 games? 5 games? Siegenthaler was a bit wobbly there. He's raw and he's going to have to cut that out. Right before that he was instrumental in Gustafsson's game winning goal and his going to the net creates a lot of havoc and that's 3 goals in very limited ice time he's played a major part in + another with the assist on Edstrom's goal. Really limited ice time he's done well.

A Rangers fan public serviced announcement....if you have friends who root for other teams you're going to need to get use to them wagging their fingers at you (maybe even lose a few of them along the way.....living a life comes with some attrition) because I think what Ryan Reaves said about Matthew that he's going to be a menace for the next bunch of years is definitely going to come true. I don't want him becoming a dirty player and I don't think he needs to be a physical force that other teams are not going to like. He can hit very hard and not take penalties just being what he is. Keep the elbows down....doesn't need to charge or jump at players.

I think he's been suspended at least once in the AHL. I don't know if the NHL looks at that.

Yeah, I dont know about 3 or 5, but a suspension would NOT shock me.
