Love you Geoff

You act like I'm upset that he showed up tonight

Doesn't change how poorly he played in this series prior, but he and everyone else start from scratch in the next series and as much as you and the rest of the band of zucc lovers may not believe it, I hope he lights it up.

PS: Love you too!

Zuccarello is crucial to this team's success. Poor play?
Ridiculous.

No one ever questions Zucc's effort. In fact, Zucc has set quite a standard for himself at this point. However, there were times in this series, (as well as during the regular season), where Zucc gets very careless with the puck. that's what Geoff is referring to.

Still think its funny when i read alot on twitter etc that NYR defense was good. They were a little better than earlier this season but this series win is all on Hank. He was unreal! Giving Staal, Holden, Mcdonagh and Girardi much credit for winning this series is extremely unfair to Skjei-Smith and Hank.

Staal and Holden played awful, worst they have played all season. Mcdonagh-Girardi was stuck in their own zone ALOT and if Hank was average or just good they get scored on alot when they are on the ice. Just proves that this team is 90% Lundqvist. Skjei-Smith was damn solid and along with Hank the main reason for us going thru to the next round. Its incredible to me that AV keeps playing Staal-Holden instead of giving Clendening or Kampfer the chance when they played so incredibly bad. And AV know it because he broke them up in game 4 or what it was when they had been useless in the game before. I just dont understand how he think Holden for example is a better option than Clendening but whatever we got thru.
Everything can happen but i have a hard time seeing us get thru to the final and if we do its because Hank keeps playing like a wall. Only chance we have. Really cool that Zucc scored twice last night. Even better because Julien did everything he could to get Zucc out of his game and it didnt work. Good for hockey that a guy like Ott didnt manage to take a player like Zucc out of his game.

Breaking news: teams does well when goalie plays well. More at 11

The defense was fine. Staal and Holden were the only shaky pair. This series win as a team effort with Lundqvist leading the way, as it should be

I did not like Ott's handful of cheap shots especially the head hunting shot but otherwise I was okay with Ott. He was playing old time playoff hockey. The if you can't beat them in the alley you can't beat them on the ice hockey. If they were able to intimidate our guys I would have been upset but now I'm just proud that we kept fighting back and refused to be intimidated by them. LGR!!! :)

That's not a totally fair assessment. Montreal's forwards admitted in an interview that their whole series plan was to dump the puck behind the defenders and run them through the wall on the touch.

I'm happy for the guys that they caught on, got pissed, and gave it back instead of wilting.

...Which is more or less what everyone who is on board with moving him has suggested.

No, it really isn't. Trading him for draft picks isn't "making the team better" - it's hugely speculative. I'm not going to dig through months worth of that thread to find those suggestions, but they're there.

And I'm not sure Tanev - Zooks makes the NYR a better team. In fact, I don't think it does.

Who has suggested trading him for just draft picks? I don't think I've seen that once.

Does anyone really even care what a hater of our Ranger players posts? If a hater wants to trade a Ranger player no matter if that player plays well or badly then its obviously personal hatred not to help the team.

I'm still over the moon about our huge victory last night. I'm totally content to let the hater continue to suck it and choke on his own poisoned bitterness. :) :D

Depends on how many picks and what kinds. The thought on trading Zucc is that his value is as high as it will ever be. The whole point of managing assets is maximizing their value. If you can get a 1st and a A prospect for example, it's something you have to seriously consider. But who knows what the demand is for Zucc?
