Hey thats pretty awesome!

Almost even cooler is it to have 2 Norwegian representatives on that team in Alexander Bonsaksen.

Should be a Ranger for life.

/the end

There was a time where I was intrigued by the idea of a Zuccarello trade to reinforce other positions. I'm not sure I continue to have that thought process though.

The man had a rocky start his career but he has cemented himself as one of the most important Rangers of the last decade.

I have no idea what any of this means, but cool lol

It’s easy to overlook the 5’7†Norwegian forward’s defensive play, but Mats Zuccarello’s speed, vision and quick hands have allowed him to become one of the more well-rounded two-way forwards in the game. He is constantly pestering defenders and is able to make good reads that, when combined with his speed, allow him to retrieve loose pucks and drive play for his team. He may be small, but Zuccarello is a big time defensive forward for the New York Rangers.

Another great performance with 3 assists.

He now has 44 assists, 17th in the league.

1 point short of 60. If AV plays him in the last three, he should have a great chance of beating his 61 points from last year.

I have a feeling he will sit one or two of the last two games.

I can't believe people want to trade him. He's unreal. No one on this team can do what he can do and no one on this team plays as hard as him.

I am a big Zucc fan, which is pretty evident by my post history. I do understand why people wanna trade high. However i think if the Rangers trade Zucc it will be a huge mistake unless it's for a superstar quality player.

Zucc gets points even when he himself has a bad day. And those bad days are not compareable to other players bad days because Zucc always hustles. He plays with alot of passion and seeminly never gives up. Might be our best board player. Like seriously. Which, considering how he was when he first got here, the board play and his defensive side was probally his weakness, thats a huge suprise and i bet he has worked hard to improve there. Now its one of the biggest upsides.

Zucc, the smallest guy on the ice, is the guy you see the most. With the most passion. The most spirit. The most heart. I would not be suprised if he won the Steven McDonal Extra Effort award this year again, even tho others surely are probally higher up on most peoples list.

And i am saying none of this because he had a 3 point game last night. He could of had a 5 point game if Step could just set those chances he gets. But i am saying it because his consistent level of play over the last couple of years. Zucc for me is our most consistent and best player on the ice day in and day out. In such making him for me, our best player not named Henrik. Sorry McD.

The half dozen folks that always want to trade Zook may be loud but they are a small minority of the Rangers fanbase. A few of them have wanted to cut/trade/not re-sign Zooks for 4 years now so I would not give them too much thought. Their position did not change when he scored 40 points, 50 points, or 60 points. It would not change if he scored 70 or 80 points either. I actually understand it because when I was young I held a dumb irrational grudge against James Patrick.

Zooks has been very productive for a undersized undrafted underpaid player. The NBC guys including JR were speaking very highly about him last night. He will go down as one our best undrafted players in the last 20 years.

Fun fact. In the 4 seasons that has now gone since Zucc came back to the Rangers from the KHL, he has the most total points of any Ranger. He has 227 points in 315 games (0.72). Steps is the closest with 218 in 301 (0.72). Nash has 182 in 270 (0.67).

He currently has 44 assists, which is both a personal record, and the most a Ranger has had since 2009/10 Gaborik.

I don't remember Gaborik being some great playmaker. Surprised that he had that many assists in 09-10.

My God, that was the year that Gaborik was on a completely different planet compared to the rest of the team. I'm pretty sure Vinny Prospal was our 2nd leading scorer

No trick photography here......I swear!

One if the many reasons why Zuccha is so adept at stealing and controlling the puck! Whaddaya' think?

haha, without question

Im sure everyone has seen the "prank" they played on Zucc here in Norway (Patrick Thoresen "imitating" him with a wig and 8 foot long stick or something). (anyone not seen that video, you can see it here. (note, Norwegian audio).

i want to trade him because i think you can get back a ton for him..and i think this team needs a lot of help all over the ice. i also think we wont win anything while he's in his prime.

All we have to do is sign Shattenkirk and re-sign Smith. A Girardi buyout and dumping Klein's contract should pretty easily handle that. There's absolutely no reason to trade Zucc.

Congrats to Zucc with his third McDonald Award. And congrats with being the team's top point scorer for the third time in four seasons.

His journey has been amazing. Hopefully the best is yet to come.

Now, go and bring home the cup!

Yes, congratulate, it felt it was a post off season for Zucc, and he struggled for some stretches in this regular season for sure. And who knows what will happen in the playoffs, as long the team - since it`s a team effort if they can stay healthy in this year playoffs edition - anything can and will happen. And if we can win this first serie (4-0) wipe, it would be amusing indeed.

However we still have the same core defense as last year without Dan Boyle & Yandle. Gorton signed Smith & Holden in 2016/2017 season - I believe we need a defense upgrade to get to the stanley cup final this year. Although, Skjei had a very good development progression this year and he looks promising for the future. I`m also pleased with Kreider, Grabner, Lindberg, Fast, JT. Miller, Buch & Vesey, and Hayes this year. And our 4th line looks a lot more promising compare to last year even with or without Tanner Glass on it.
And Raanta is a great backup goalie as well - I did not expect a long run in 2014 to be honest, so anything can happen!! :)

Listening to Conor McDonald speak last night was amazing. I had no idea that Zooks had such a tight connection with their family. In true Zooks humble fashion he said the award was really a team award.

The part where Conor mentioned he always wants to call his dad hit a nerve for me. My dad is my best friend as well.
