Was Marner playing Centre for in London in 2016 which was his Draft+1 season? That was when he won OHL MVP, OHL playoff MVP, CHL Player of The Year, Memorial Cup MVP, along with leading the tournament in scoring.

On this particular play, here’s the thing, 1 out of 10 times that pass back is intercepted and it’s possibly an odd man rush the other way, that‘s when his detractors will pounce. But here we see his creativity pay off, and the odds of a goal for us are larger than one coming back the other way. It’s why the turnover leaders in the NHL are mostly all elite players, because they create and make things happen, the odd time it backfires, but most of the time it a red light for our team. Never stop being you Mitch, it’s what makes you a special talent!

It's funny that there was an article written by some clown that said Taveras made Marner.
Maybe he should watch a game.
The kick of Marner's skate to his stick , then a behind the back pass , with players all around him.

I think they're just haters. Ppl can't be this stupid. We have over a decade of proof of marner literally making everyone else better at the expense anD benefit of himself. He was named third star when he's the reason ppl got their goals and assists like 8 times at asg.

Same with Willy the way he is playing this yr.

I love what Matthews brings but Marner and Nylander have been constantly ever game.

I think there is a certain validity to the idea that JT helped him in their first season together, but it's certainly the other way around now.

The second goal last night was a perfect example - JT lost the puck, Mitch got it back and set him up for an easy goal (yes, JT with a good shot).

Really? JT had been in the league 10 years and never came close to what he did with Marner, 12 more even strength goals that year, which is crazy.. They complimented each other, as great players do, but JT benefitted a great deal from being with Mitch, he certainly didn’t carry anyone and the stats are quite convincing.

I still value goals more then assist, overall and always has. That said i value Marner more then JT.

I remember when thewave and a couple of other posters said his fancy passes that he did in junior wont work in the nhl.

As far as playing with JT in his career year
jT never had so many tap in goals in his life

Marner is at the top of the nhl when it comes to his hockey IQ and passing.

As recently as larkin singing his praises

If he stays a leaf for another 5 years he will pass every record

Enjoy his skill.

You obviously are the delusional own because you have no idea what the troll even means. Because it doesn't fit here. True definition of troll is saying Marner and Gretzky are comparable. That's a troll post.
 
The only issue anyone should have with Mitch is his bs playoff performance. That is it.

It will come. I get annoyed at marner for his stupid passed and turnovers but Yeesh y'all see McDavid play defense?

In both the OHL and the NHL Marner, has made this same assist while on a breakaway. So, at least one of his fancy passes has been able to work.

I think in the 2018-19 season when Marner and Tavares played together at 5v5, both of them were great for each other, and you can't say one carried the other.

Marner was a reason why Tavares had 47 goals and 88 points in 82 games.

Tavares was a reason why Marner had 94 points in 82 games.

I don't think it's a "weird phenomena on these boards" in particular, as it's very common everywhere, and not only in sports. The internet and (anti)social media have just made out a lot easier.
