Ya Voit truly looks like a boy playing against men. Just a little too passive. Which is what I was expecting to a degree, just not this much TBH. Almost looks a bit scared out there IMO.

This is really good experience for him though
Lot's of time to work that out of him, thankfully, but definitely need to train some of that meekness out of him. He projects to have a few years in the A/E after his OHL career anyway, so hopefully that can help with some confidence around more mature players.

oh ya, I get that. He has had almost a year and a half off as well, and yesterday's game would have been probably the best competition, certainly the most physically mature opposition he's ever faced. That must have been challenging coming in off a long layoff to get adjusted in that circumstance. I honestly think he will even be a slight bit less hesitant as early as todays game.

I am really excited for him to go back to junior and hopefully dominate

6'1" 179 lbs... could definitely fill out some.
That's pretty well on par with what Tofolli was at his age as well.

He may not be fully into his man's body quite yet being only 21 years old, but he plays really strong on the puck. He has a long reach and good hands which helps him protect the puck quite well.

I knew very little of Gogolev before we signed him to his AHL deal last year. But this guy has been everything and more IMO. I really think he will play in the NHL at some point. Maybe that's just me being a homer, but he's been really impressive at the AHL and rookie development camp level

Go control/command + “F” key on keyboard and type toronto maple leafs

This guy thinks we have a pretty good pool. He’s changed his mind on abbruzzese and knies, but he does not acknowlege the might of tverberg!

We compare better than ottawa’s pool and they’ve had better picks than us lol not that it actually matters, but it’s interesting to think about.

Have to say he definitely looks taller than 6'1" out there. He could stand to fill out a bit though.
Ya I totally agree. I think partly because of his very upright skating stance. Not comparing the 2 players at all in terms of their overall skill level, but he's almost got like a Kovalev level motor. Wherein it looks like he's not trying, but just seems to toy with guys at times. Then when he needs to he will show a short burst of speed to gain separation. But he hardly ever looks like he is going full tilt. At least at the AHL level and in this camp, he does not appear to be chasing the game, but rather lets it come to him. I think that's why he has been such a prolific goal scorer at every level TBH. Just a very confident player with the puck on his blade, and overall just a really patient player.

Which is kind of how I see Tofolli vibes as well. Just slips in behind the play, only to have the puck inevitably fall on his blade back door or in the high slot.

Ottawa's pool is an oddity though, hard to project.
They use a different internal scouting system, which always makes their draft hilarious to watch, from a central scouting/name recognition perspective. They've hit on some good players, but it makes it pretty tough to project their pool

I think I posted that too... that he looks taller than the 6'1"... maybe that's because his linemates are shorter? A couple of years in the AHL, and some time in the gym, and this guy could be a useful top 9 guy.

Really liking parè and Douglas’s games today after two periods very noticeable. Was a weak goal on petruzelli but other than that he’s playing well. Really wish we could get rid of duszak and his ego and let more people develop. Bad penalties taken today similar to some games last year. (After 2 periods)

I was surprised to see Duszak involved in any of this tbh. He's 24 and has played a season and a half in the AHL. Seems telling about how the org views the defensive hierarchy that the likes of Hollowell and Rubins aren't there

Kokkonen just scored on his own net (off his skate).

He looks better offensively this year through a few games but looks less engaged defensively.

As @LeafChief mentioned, Niemela with 3 assists today. Hirvonen scored his 1st of the season, and Kokkonen another assist.

Our Liga prospects are off to good starts. Loponen is scoreless but his posession numbers are strong whatever that means.

Would love it if you guys noted whether they were PP pts or not.

Has anyone really stood out?

With abundance of bottom 6 NHL forwards I don't see any prospects getting a shot
