Exactly, a hit like that by a Canadian player and it's 5 and game misconduct. Likely followed by a 1 game suspension to boot.

That Swedish player drove him HARD into the boards like he was trying to put him completely through them. IMHO, it was intent to injure because he didn't let up on the hit at all !!!

A 2 minute minor was definitely deserved, at MINIMUM.
Put him through the boards? That is such a gross elevation and misreprentation of what happened

Oh come on, look at the replay again !!! Just watch how the boards reverberate !!! We're just lucky that Beck wasn't seriously hurt. He could have sustained a concussion or a broken clavicle etc.

He may have an upper body issue, at minimum, from that hit.

The hit was from behind, right on the numbers, and the Swede didn't let up one bit. Sure, Beck turned, however he didn't deserve to be HIT that hard.

Should have been a boarding penalty at minimum !!!

The boards probably move after hard shots

Nazars open ice hit was dirtier than this

Marlies lose again. Was Moore a problem? Yes huge, but was he the main problem? Doesn't look like it.
I don't think I've ever seen a team have the most goals for AND the fewest goals against in their division and yet be a very mediocre 4th.

League wide they're 5th GF, 11th against, 19th in points.

Or Aaron Dell after Spengler is over tomorrow
After tonight's Leaf game, Aaron Dell should come over with the rest of his Spengler Cup team, including coach Boudreau. They can't be any worse than our OVERPAID UNDER PERFORMING current Leafs.

The Naki
Leafs don't need world class #1 quality here. They just need stability and someone that can make saves. Hildeby can do that while Woll recovers.

Hildeby is older than Robertson He'll be ok.

I'm hoping he comes up and forces the team to send him back down again

Woll did that under pretty trying circumstances and I think it shows a mental fortitude worth betting on long term

At least nhl players will let him know what he needs to work on.
Have fun Hildeby he will probably only get 4 starts, if everything goes good.

Thought Cowan looked good today. Not sure what that poster was crying about a few pages back. Cowan skates well and looks every bit of his listed 5'11", maybe taller.

One of the few Canadian players with poise in the offensive end. Glad to see him get on the board with a goal.

Minten looks fine. If anything he's playing out of position. He'd thrive on a line with Beck/Danielson etc. which is what he'll be at the NHL level.

I have actually been impressed by his skating. Better than I had been led to believe. And he doesn't look particularly small out there either.

I was looking for a more current listing.

At 18 to go from 5'10.5" - to 5'11" is hardly newsworthy.

I'd be surprised if he was fully grown at 18.
One of the odd things mentioned when he was drafted was that he has size 13 feet, which would usually suggest more growth in his future as well.
