It is a very complicated pick. Toronto's 2nd was either a 2014 or 2015 (their choice), but then they made a deal with the Ducks which also was conditional, but was fulfilled and gives them their 2014 pick; therefore, the Kings get their 2015 pick by default. It doesn't end there though, as the pick we sent to Columbus for Gabarok is conditional as well. Buffalo gave us our two picks back, so we have our 2nd this year and two 2nds (ours and Toronto's) next season. The condition on the 2nd is we can either give Columbus our 2014 pick or Toronto's 2015 pick and it is completely our choice. So it is either a 2014 2nd or a 2015 2nd.

I think this is the kind of stuff we try to pull off at our fantasy football draft but then every gets drunk and tired and starts drawing wieners on the draft board instead.

I know each team and the league has whole teams dedicated to tracking these things but I'd love to see what sort of software and tools they use to examine players and keep picks/assets/cap info straight.

Hey may not be a left winger but this team needs any injection of true talent it can get. So I'm happy.

Gabby has actually said he prefers LW on the line combo thread. This means TT can play RW, if Sutter decides to go in that direction.

Man, if we can re-sign Gabby in the off-season, this trade is a steal!

Next year Deano finally gets Orpik. Kovalchuk follows after that

Wouldn't be surprised about Orpik, DL was after him once before IIRC.

Lolvalchuk.

So excited for Gabby. Hope he continues to recover and condition for the playoffs! Wouldn't be mad if they made him wait a few games to get prepped, but looks like he's going right in.

Edit: Gabby has a butt-chin!

Droool that video. Didn't realize how many of his goals were just going to the net/tips/rebounds. helps with the Moulson factor we wanted with the added bonus of scoring off the rush.

Presumably will help the PP drastically and will turn some of that Corsi into goals by boosting team shooting percentage. Gaborik's career avg. is 13.0%; our team's avg this season is 7.52, 28th in the league.
