Vancouver's roster
I would assume that the list is Chapman, Vladdy, Varsho then Kiermaier without lookingWithout looking, I could ask the forum to put together a list of 20 educated guesses of who is tied for 4th on the Jays in fWAR and you would never get it.
Even more crazy would be asking people of the forum who the 2nd best and 2nd worst fWAR on the team currently are respectively (among pitchers)Without looking, I could ask the forum to put together a list of 20 educated guesses of who is tied for 4th on the Jays in fWAR and you would never get it.
I’m going to be flying into the island airport, landing mid afternoon and want to take in a game. However I am staying outside of the city and will be taking a train there after the game. Is there a way I’ll be able to ditch my suitcase somewhere during the game and pick it up after. Is there any kind of service like that?

Dang, I just looked up bWAR for the pitchers (which is generally significantly better during the season).
There's no way that anyone on this board could guess our top 3 pitchers lol
I believe that he meant hittersYour post makes me think Swanson, but I'm probably way off.
Correct.Gonna guess Romano, Swanson, and Gausman? That feels too easy though for your reaction though lol
1/3. Overthought one, definitely a bit surprised about the other.
I believe that he meant hitters
Correct.
Also, keep in mind that bWAR is similar to a RA/G with a defensive modifier (which is why it works so well in season). fWAR assumes that pitchers who put the ball in play should be giving up runs even if they are pitching to contact, where bWAR cares about the result.
OTOH, fWAR is generally vastly superior for hitters/defense.
Vlad has been lowkey really, really good at the plate. It's not showing up in the sexy numbers yet but the change in approach is incredible.
Currently sitting at a paltry 189 OPS+ with an OPS over 1. Bust tbh
My math might be off, but putting 13% more balls in play last year (the straight difference) would result in 24 more hits at his BABIP which would be a .312/.364/.517 even if every added hit was a single.Even taking out his absurd xStats, the plate discipline is incredibly nutty. It obviously won't continue at this level but he's barely chasing anything, he's swinging far less (especially on first pitches), and he's punishing pitches on the edges of the plate.

Your 4th overall is the 2nd best pitcher lolI was referring to the entire list (both hitters and pitchers). But it’s equally surprising if I say guess who is 2nd on the Jays in fWAR.
Your 4th overall is the 2nd best pitcher lol
I would NEVER have guessed him.
2nd worst I was actually anticipating when I looked based on my understanding of fWAR.
