That's a 2 game sample size my man
LOL, I know. I am just making an observation. Last 2 game 1s he wasn’t his dominant self. That’s all. Maybe he got himself overhyped for those 2 starts?

Also that's a pretty good lineup he faced yesterday.LOL, I know. I am just making an observation. Last 2 game 1s he wasn’t his dominant self. That’s all. Maybe he got himself overhyped for those 2 starts?
Seems like Alek struggles in game 1s. Last year playoff opener, struggled. Yesterday, struggled. He probably gets too hyped up for these.
That annoyed the hell out of me. I mean its good to have fun. But you shouldn't be goofing around when you are losing.that game was bananas but what a start to the season. Hope it's foreshadowing and we're going to be for a ride this year,
Gotta love Romano shutting them down after the bullpen was struggling.
The team is looking solid and serious. I don't think i'll miss the goofy dugout antics too much.
Espinal at SS and Bichette at 2B is appealing but we lose the platoon flexibility at 2B with Whit/Espinal/Cavan because Bichette would be the every day player at 2B. Merrifield/Biggio would get axed from the middle infield in this scenario, so there's a big cost. But if there's ever an injury, Bo could go back to SS and Biggio/Whit could draw back in.Bo Bichette...elite hitter, below average shortstop. It's not necessarily catching the baseball, it's throwing and decision-making that are the problem. At this point, he is what he is, I don't see him improving on the throwing but with experience his decision-making may improve. They seem to be reluctant to play him at second base. Perhaps they're not comfortable with someone else at short. Nevertheless, the kid can hit.
And 2 runs scored because he hit a runner trying to throw home on a shallow pop up lolSo Teo has 5 strikeouts in 8 ABs and no hits so far for Seattle
It will be interesting to see how they do. I liked Teo but the Jays needed to fix their outfield problems. They couldn't have the same outfield again. I was very glad they didn't extend him. He's a player that won't age well I think. It is interesting. We obviously put a emphasis on defense and baserunning this off season, Seattle seemingly did the opposite. They went out and got really bad defensive players in the hopes of giving their lineup a boost offensively.
You can just move Bo back to ss if you need time off for EspinalEspinal at SS and Bichette at 2B is appealing but we lose the platoon flexibility at 2B with Whit/Espinal/Cavan because Bichette would be the every day player at 2B. If Bo doesn't turn it around by June, this option might have to be given a serious look. You would want to give Bo 90-100 games at 2B before the playoffs, to give him time to figure it out defensively. If they were to do this type of move, I could see them doing it in early or mid June imo.
