The only two truly egregious goals against were #4 and #5. #4 is a total fluke play we've seen even the best goalies fall victim to(George had one go off the back wall and rebound out off his back leg and in, it happens), looks ugly when it happens but not really much you can do about it. #5 is pretty inexcusable as that's just not tracking the play and poor technique sealing off the post at the bottom of the net. All said, you take those out of the equation and the Attack still lose 6-1. Can't really say anybody had a great game last night.

By my count, that's only the third blowout against the Attack this year, Kingston, Brantford games being the other two from earlier in the year. Those losses happen, sometimes at inopportune times, but it's part of the game. Considering where this version of the Attack is at in the development process they've been pretty darn consistent in performance night in and night out all season long. The response on Sunday will tell you an awful lot about the resiliency and the character of this team.
Given the makeup of the team and how young the group is, the fact that they are still fighting for a playoff spot and not dead and buried to me is nothing short of a great result so far, most had them dead last.

Says everything that after an 8-1 drubbing, heading into the biggest game of the year, no line changes, and no lineup changes other than George in net, and through 15 minutes the shots are 21-2 for the Soo.

We can talk a lot about the growing the players will do to move the team forward, but the coaching staff currently demonstrating the definition of insanity. If the team salvages anything from this game, it'll be because of George.

Boys look like they are skating in mud.. this is inexcusable.. day off yesterday.. showing no effort in a big game. Hounds have 30 shots in 28 minutes.

The vets on this team are a huge disappointment.. 37, 8,16.. might be hookies worst game in a long time.. this is totally unacceptable.. leaving your goalie out to dry.. get blown out last game now this.. young team or not.. the coach needs to make some adjustments.. like I’ll say that the D needs a big upgrade.. they announcers are even ripping on the OS effort.

You’re just having a day today! They did come back, you’re allowed to be happy about that lol
Yup I’m allowed to show emotion.. because that was a brutal effort and a brutal penalty.. they can thank George for getting a point.

CHL tv saying the game has ended but I never got to see any of the OT.. what a joke lol

looks like they got two lol.

What a tough day you’ve had lol

That game was probably the most frustrating one I've watched all year. They absolutely did not deserve a point from that let alone two. Was great to see an offensive breakout from Greenberg (and a real effort to assert himself on the game), and Zurawski getting rewarded for what's been consistently great player in an Attack jersey.

The only silver linings I can take from that game are that having the best goalie in the Canada means you're never out of a game, and that our best guys at their best are really, really good. But it felt like the big guns won the game on their own, not because the team played better or because there were any adjustments from the coaches. The best choice the coaching staff made in the game was to ride the top line and top pairing hard through the third.

It's great that our best players can do that, but it makes me anxious as a fan in assessing the future of this team how much growth and roster surgery is still required for them to contend. Still 11 games plus maybe a playoff round for a bunch of guys to show they deserve to come back.

New Bear Tracker Pod is out and features some familiar faces. Really great interview and some perspective with a peak behind the scenes with the Attack Pak and the relationship with the team. I really enjoyed this one. Thanks to Dave and Pete and the rest of the Attack Pak for the work you guys do.
