Major Trade coming this offseason.

It doesn't sound like this core is getting broken up and that's a good thing, I've said before Tampa failed for years, they tied an NHL record for wins only to be swept by Columbus and laughed out of the building at the 2019 NHL awards, they never broke up their core, and people will say "they won rounds." that's irrelevant they didn't win until they did and until they did everything being said about Toronto was being said about Tampa they didn't have it, they couldn't win until they did.

You can't tell me a core of Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Tavares and Rielly is not good enough to win a championship they are but they need their Coleman, type, they need their Goodraw type.

They got 12.5 million to work with right now but, they got about 7 million tied up in Kerfoot, Holl and Engvall, and another 1.6 in Mikyehev that brings you to close to 21 million.

You can do alot with 21 million.

I would target Rickard Radkell that would be my forward target

Leafs don’t need Coleman and TB bottom 6.
They need Campbell to play like Vas.
Reilly to play like Hedman.
AM to play like Kuch.
Marner to play like Point.
JT to play like Cirelli.
Well Willie can play just like he did the past 7 games bc that’s as good if not better than Stamkos.
If they can do that, they can win.

If you believe that the core can do it, Good for you.

Dumping Marner makes us a better team. He didn't acknowledge his weak play or say he wants to improve himself. Just got defensive and said he had good looks that didn't convert. Played scared when the games got physical.

We need our CORE players to be strong and hungry. Bringing in toughness on the bottom 6 does nothing (as we witnessed with Simmonds and Thornton).

Use Marner's cap space to bring in guys who can play physical and put up points. Muzzin himself said you have to grind opponents down in playoff hockey. Marner isn't grinding anyone down. His attitude this post season really left a bad taste in my mouth.

What a loser organization. We were spoon fed a bottom feeder division full of trash, and blew a 3-1 lead to a team that racked up 26 wins in 56 games in the disgrace of a division.


If you can't beat the f***ing Montreal Canadiens in a 7 game series, you damn sure aren't beating Boston, Tampa Bay or Florida. :laugh:

If Marner is still there come the next season opening day roster, they can find me watching hockey on pirated websites instead.

Seems you have no faith in Dubas. There are some pretty good UFAs out there that might be had cheaper than in a normal year. Gotta hope Dubas uses his cap space wisely.

Agreed. If they stay the course we will have a tough time just making the playoffs. Retool this season and make some moves.

Strongly disagree, the success TB had before winning it all is very relevant.
