I think there will be an adjustment period. As was said above he's tough, he'll often initiate contact with a defender if he see's it coming. It's awesome to see from a 'small' player at this level but in the NHL it might not always work as well for him.

Ultimately I think his sticking next season will be dependent on how quickly he can make the physical adjustment, cause I have no doubt he could contribute offensively now.

(Though I guess that's probably true of most small high offense prospects :P)

I agree, it will take him a little time to learn how to be effective for Winnipeg, Jets fans is gonna have to be patient he will get there, hes a smart kid. Regarding his physicality he's been used to playing against players 2-3 years older than him most his hockey life. So hes had to be careful not getting hurt most his career, I have to think some of his awareness is due to that. He's gotta learn not to engage in so much physically tho, unless its in the area you have to go. He tried to test his body last time he was up and he's gonna have to wait for him to get stronger to play like he did when he was up engaging in a lot unnecessary battles, pick your battles, but he's not afraid of going where it hurts at all. But you gotta have some patience with his 19 year old body, I know he's been working really hard though so let's see after this offseason

Kind of sad for him in his last game. No point and the turnover that leads to the empty net goal.

His junior career is over.

What a great junior career. Man was he fun to watch. Too bad he couldn't win a championship but at least he got that big win with Denmark at the World Juniors.

Watching that highlight video made the sting of being down 3-0 go away a little. This guy is amazing.

Think he makes the Jets for sure next year and puts up 50 points. He is just so skilled.

Well, he is joining the team tomorrow.

I cannot see any chance that he plays, but boy would it be sweet.

Thought that ws to be decided tomorrow? We need to win and then he can soak in some of the playoff atmosphere .

Just a mesmerizing player. Can't wait to see him in the NHL next year.

Would love to see:

Ehlers - Scheifele - Wheeler

I doubt we see him with the Jets this year, even if the Jets extend the season by a game or two.

However, Perreault still seems to be struggling with an injury. If he went down with an injury, Ehlers would be my first choice to replace him on the roster.

Mooseheads PK cost them the series. That coach better be fired.

They were the second most penalized team in the playoffs and were around the middle of the pack as far as PK% was concerned. Their issue was they had no second line for most of the series and hardly anyone to score after the top line.

Suggesting that Dom should get fired is ridiculous.
