LOL!!!! No really... wait you're serious?

Dom is arguably the best coach in the Q and is well on his way to the NHL...

Whoever is in charge of the Penalty Kill. It's not usually the head coach. Though how Ducharme didn't force them to make adjustments on it, is a black spot on his resume.

I'm a big Ducharme fan, I've been wanting him to work with the Habs farm team for awhile now.. but come on, if you watched the games and saw the PK, you can't tell me that you would want a team you support at ANY level to use a PK system like that... Ugly. Ugly. UGLY.

You can't play a passive PK box.. let Garland and Barbashev have the puck with time and space then leave a player in front of your own goalie untouched, especially when you're not pressuring the puck carrier.. they either scored on screen point shots or made an easy feed to Barbashev on the side of the net. You could have put 4 pylons on the ice and had the same result.. they literally had four bodies stand there in pre-determined spots on the ice, waived their sticks around and did nothing. Brutal system. Needs to be changed. PK coach needs to change it or be let go because it's inexcusably bad that you would have a system like that.

It undermined a rather valiant effort by an overmatched team. Really proud of the Mooseheads for pushing it that far but the PK system let them down. I won't even blame the players because when each PK tandem does the same thing, then you know it's a system issue.

Apparently he was invited to Denmark's WC squad but declined citing the wear and tear of a long season.

Would have loved to see him play in the WC but can't really blame him what with the WJC and all that he's played.

According to a Q reporter, Blainville-Boisbriand offered this to acquire him at the Christmas trade period but Halifax said no.

1st pick
1st pick
2nd pick
2nd pick
3rd pick
1 prospect

:scared:

That's a bananas offer. Too bad it didn't work out for the Moose, they certianly had the offensive firepower to compete for the MemCup.

I think one of the only reason he stayed in Halifax was because he told Cam he wanted to stay. Unfortunately, Ehlers had the final say.

We would have had three of the top-4 Q scorers on the team (all above 100 pts).

We were a one-line team, which meant our 1st round demise pretty much, but with Ehlers on that 2nd line, even with a bunch of nobodys/youngsters, I'm pretty sure we would have made it to round 3, probably against QC... interesting to think about.

I think Ehlers isn't dumb. He would have understood how important it would have been for Halifax. He wouldn't have gone to a bad team or organization either.

Just looked at Giroux's junior stats and they're pretty similar to Ehlers'. Anyone who followed Giroux his before he was in the NHL, how close is Ehlers to him?

Not the same style but Ehlers is better than Giroux was.

Doesn't mean he will develop the same but he is the better Q player.

Ehlers ends up leading the Q in playoff scoring, despite playing 8 fewer games than the runner up.

(Another Jets' prospect Petan led the W in playoff scoring).

Ah........Ehlers was only gud because of Drouin .

We should draft Jake Virtanen instead :banghead:

News Flash! Nikolaj Ehlers is very good at hockey.

Did okay without Drouin this season....
