Laine Schiefele Wheeler… three absolutely lethal rightys…. going to be a sick power play unit/potential line in the future and I'm honestly extremely excited to see that even as a non-Jets fan
 
So Winnipeg gets the new Selanne, wow.

Laine should be a great fit for Winnipeg.
 
I wouldn't be so sure that Hunter will go with Matthews, but yeah, it looks more and more like Laine will be a Jet. Toronto and Winnipeg are going to be beasts :D
 
At least it will be fun to see Laine in Jets becaus the crowd is fanatic as hell and I'm sure they have missed to have a Finn to cheer for. ;)
 
First it was Selanne....

Now Laine...

Should be a lot of fun watching Laine and Armia, the two big Finnish wingers on the same team.

Laine has a hell of a shot, I'd say best shot in the draft. As he improves his foot speed, he'll really be Kovalchuk-like.
 
Quick question.... has Laine played any RW? From the highlights, he definitely looks like he could fit in on RW.

Laine has had awesome season in FEL and great tournament in world juniors.
Lets see how Laine plays for men's worlds in Russia.

Laine challenged Matthews for 1st overall and did his best to go 1st but it wasn't enough.
Franchise Center goes always before goal-scoring winger.

He can play both winger positions.
In Tappara FEL team and Finland world Junior team Laine played LW but he shoots for right-side so he can play RW too.

If Laine has a good tournament and Matthews doesn't do well, then I can see Toronto favouring Laine a bit more. Next 3 weeks are going to be interesting, to say the least.

I'm just happy we have a choice between the two. Like I said before, you can't go wrong with either guy. I have Matthews with an edge right now but I will let Hunter and co. decide of course :D

I think Barring a career ending injury Matthews is Toronto's guy. It lets them then move Marner or Nylander to wing based on what they decide in the future but rounds things out much more. Laine with Marner would be crazy but i'm pretty sure we will all be watching Laine in Winnipeg next year.
It's really cool to see 3 teams like this get rewarded though

Yeah maybe but still franchise center is much valuable.
As a Finn of course i wanna see Laine goes 1st but that's not going to happen.

Men's world championships is only one tournament and it wont change much.
Jets will get helluva goal-scorer for Laine
 
Jets youth is even more sick now once the add Laine... good god they will be a force to be wreckin with in a few years
