Dal Colle would be perfect for the Canes. Based on what I've read and the highlights I've seen, he is another Staal. And he'd finally give us a 3C or he could play on Eric's wing and Lindholm could takeover as 3C.

But I doubt we pick high enough to get him.

Dal Colle would be even more perfect for the Isles so I can't see him slipping past them if things stay the way they are and the Isles pick 4th.

Reminds me of Galchenyuk. Definitely will be back in juniors next season, especially if drafted by the Islanders. Needs to get bigger and stronger.

If Florida was drafting based on need I can see them interested in Dal Colle, but assuming they pick 3rd they will probably take whoever is left over of Reinhart, Ekblad or Bennett.

Maybe we can win the lottery and they pick 4th and get Dal Colle, both of us can be happy. :)

All that being said if the Islanders pick 4th or 5th this is the guy I hope they get(assuming the other 3 off the board)

Is he a C or W?

Forced to be a winger, with Boone, Laughton and Cassels on the team. Looks like he stuck very well at that position - wonder if he tries to go back to C. Have a feeling he stays on the wing, these years in the O have been big in his development; doubt he switches gears.

Buffalo GM Tim Murray on Dal Colle: "Probably has the best release we've seen in a long time .. can really shoot the puck .. needs a center to get him the puck .. he's gonna score goals at the NHL level."

Think the center comment needs more behind it. Dal Colle is more than capable of manufacturing his own opportunities. Murray must mean that he is deadly when set up by a capable playmaker.

Future Islander? Big centerman? Sounds like the Flames have to turn off the engines (lower than NYI) to get him. :sarcasm:

That video doesn't do Dal Colle's playmaking ability justice but it showcases his fantastic release and great hands.

Update for him in the playoffs:

6GP 5G 8 A 13P

Second in playoff scoring behind overager Dane Fox

Most underrated prospect in the draft.

He'd be so perfect with Tavares and Okposo.

Dont really see how he's not being looked at as a #1 pick. He's got such a fantastic skill set and I could see him and Laughton taking the Gennies to the Mem Cup.
