For those that follow the OHL and have seen both players, how does his game stack up against Sean Monahan? Absolutely everything about Monahan's game is so very understated. You wouldn't think he's a great skater yet he's up and down the ice in a flash. His dekes and movements are subtle, yet successful.

Is Dal Colle flashier than Sean? How does his defensive game compare? I feel like the Flames will miss out on Ekblaad and Reinhart, but will likely have Dal Colle available in the 3-4 spot.

Not much chatter about this kid for a potential top-3 pick. He was playing the wing a lot in the past, correct? Where do people project in in the NHL, C or wing?

I know this guy quite well, were both from the same hometown (Woodbridge, ON), he lives literally down the street from me. A couple of close friends played hockey with him when they were all on the Vaughan Kings AAA midget team ('96). He is going to be a very good nhl player. My friends who played with him and I always said he's going to the show, and he'll be there.

Still no talk about Dal Colle going first. If the Isles defer the pick to the Sabres this year, and if Dal Colle is available.... they need to jump on that and forget Ehlers.

Reinhart and Dal Colle would be amazing.

When talent left for the WJC Ehlers stepped up for his team while most say Dal Colle disappeared for his.

Hows that?

Reinhart
Bennett
Ekblad
Dal Colle
Draisaitl

^ would be top 5 IMO, Draisaitl is probably the only one with the chance to not go top 5 in that group.

Nylander, Ritchie, Ehlers and Fleury, among others all have a chance to go top 5 as well, maybe not as great but there's always GMs that go "off the board"

In this years draft, the top 5 could go in any order..

I could see that as well. In fact Lets say the Islanders get the 1st pick I could see them trading down or drafting Dal Colle first.

I think the first 5 picks will be based off need even though there seems to be a clear cut top 5 players available in this draft.

Who do you think his game emulates most? Eric Staal / Micheal Ryder? Looks like he's a pure sniper but has some skills and decent vision as well.

A perfect fit. Hard to believe JT is a UFA in 4 years. Seems like we was just drafted
Yesterday.

I haven't read a lot on Dal Colle, or any prospect really, but heard he is a bull. He, JT and Okposo would be a very difficult line to match up against given the work ethic and high skill combo.

Isles can also keep the pick, take this kid at 4 and have JT's LW spot filled long term.

Yeah I honestly think MDC would be a perfect compliment to Johnny T. I don't see anyone else that would be better than MDC in the 4 slot unless Ekblad falls. With JT feeding MDC I can see MDC becoming a multiple 30+ Goal scorer.

i'm not convinced that this kid becomes a prime time player in the nhl before jt leaves for greener pastures...

I think Dal Colle will be a center in the NHL.

His game reminds me a lot of Malkin. Even wears the 71.

He has a great shot, but his passing and dekes are probably just as good. Maybe even more of a playmaker than a snipier.

He's a big guy but he has a lot of filling out to do. He's listed as only 185 while being 6'3. A good 25 lbs definitely wouldn't hurt the kid.
