LW Matthew Boldy - Boston College, NCAA (2019, 12th, MIN)

He was playing so well, too. About as NHL ready as you can get. Hopefully it looked worse than it is... a Zucker, as we Minnesotans like to call them.

Boldy is the only top 20 player from the 2019 draft that hasn't seen NHL TOI. He's due.

I think he ends up Kaprizov’s linemate longterm, he has the requisite creativity to replace Zuccarello

Boldy can play just about anywhere, I think. Will have to work on the pace of his game, and adjust to the NHL, but he should be at least a very good top 6, complimentary, offensive player.

Just saw that Evason has not put him with Fiala and Rossi, but instead with Pitlick and Duhaime/Gaudreau. What an idiot! It's like they are trying to make him fail, not trying to help him to succeed.

Why not put Rossi and Boldy together, especially on the PP, which is what they have been doing all year? Hell, they could've put Addison with them, also, as that's the one thing that he does really well...but that ship has sailed. Gotta play Jamie Benn/Merrill on the off side, I guess.

Now Boldy and Rossi have to figure out how to play with players they have no experience with, in the best league in the world, against a good team (Boston). AARGHH!

Probably because they think they need someone on the line to protect Rossi from possible physical abuse.

I think they just don’t want two guys playing their first NHL games in the same line. If they’re not ready, that line could blow up, especially with Fiala on the other side of it.

You both have points, but the ability to hit the ground running with by having them play with each other, and on a line that suits their abilities(i.e Fiala), outweighs them, IMO.

In a world where Hartman is playing bottom six RW, you'd plunk Rossi between Kap and Zucc, but no way you mess with the Hartman as #1C experiment right now.

Way more dynamic than Turcotte in what I have seen

just pure edge work to buy time so he can see plays develop

that backhand sauce through 3 players was nice

Pretty impressive hands for a big guy to corral that hot of a pass and get it off his stick that quickly.
