A regulation loss to the Jets will mean the Kings are out of the playoffs once again. No pressure.
Bernstein is a moron.
Perhaps a reason why a Habs scout (asst. coach?) has been at the last three Kings' games is the Kings play the...wait for it...
the Habs next Thursday. (!)
From what I can tell of these GDTs, in-game comments are almost exclusively complaining about Kings' players and excited utterances when a King scores a goal. Not a whole lot of analysis on the progression of the game actually takes place. It just appears you are all alone in saying the Ducks played awful in the first two periods.
Dude, I really do love pissed off second-guessers. Please show me all the realtime comments in the first two periods complaining about being owned by the ducks.
8-4 in the month of February, which isn't bad, but considering the last 2 games, it feels like we could've done better. We lost two of the three games in hand in 48 hours.
On the third period:
I think their forecheck overwhelmed us the whole night, and it caught up with us.
On his impressions of Andrej Sekera:
I thought their forecheck overwhelmed him.
On whether he “sensed or [felt] the game turning” in the third period:
No, if you were listening to Helene’s question, she asked, and I thought their forecheck was very strong tonight, and I think that probably us [playing] three-in-four caught up with us.
You just hope the Kings don't look/aren't tired in that game, or else they will get run out of the building. Like tonight against the Ducks.
Sure! Nice dodge there. When the boys are getting outplayed I've never known this board to just not mention it. I guess I was all alone as well in seeing the 3rd period collapse coming.
Trevor Lewis is carrying Stoll's line. That is all anyone needs to know about Stoll/Williams.
The Kings were not good in the first two periods. Or the third period. They either did not, or could not, show up tonight. Everything was reaching with the stick. There was no driving through with the legs. Outside of a few bursts of energy by a guy or two, from top to bottom, they had nothing.
8-4 in the month of February, which isn't bad, but considering the last 2 games, it feels like we could've done better. We lost two of the three games in hand in 48 hours. We blew a chance at separating us from the WC by 4 points, and moving into second place.
Oh I agree with that. The blurb about Stoll though is more disturbing to me. How the hell does a center who gets the playing time that he does go so long without an assist?
If only the Kings had another Bryan Smolinski like center in place of Stoll...
Stoll hasn't shot a puck over the glass recently though. #mrbrightside
Could still use someone like Jay McClement from Carolina. Perfect 3C.
I must have missed it, I'll have to focus on Greene a bit more the next game.
Nice that the Canucks, Flames, and Sharks are just as inconsistent.
Same reason Kopitar has 6 even strength goals this year. Or how Carter could go 23 games with 2 goals and 5 assists earlier in the year. They're not doing enough to get the points.
I agree, my point was the ducks were not any better in the first two periods. How many dangerous chances did they have in the first two periods? One?
How about Doughty with ZERO pp goals. Although I'm not surprised the way he shoots it high and wide almost every chance he gets.
