No you didn't :)

I thought the Ducks were physically dominant for most of the game, their forecheck put our D under heaps of pressure.

Is it just me or does gabby seem to muff things quite a bit when trying to clear our zone along the boards, he gets pressured and hands it over quite a bit :dunno: Clifford and King do a better job of absorbing the pressure and passing it out.

I honestly don't see where we are going to miss a step by scratching Greene and putting McBain in. At this point in time, it seems the prudent thing to do?

Remember last season? Greene got to rest a few weeks as I recall. Then he played his best hockey in the postseason. Might as well do it again, you never know what may happen this time around.

I'm not sure about Sekera being an upgrade to what we already have. To be honest, reminds me a lot of Bodnarchuck. Bods might even be b....... Ok I didn't say it. I'll be fair for now, but I'm not convinced Sekera is the answer. It's probably worth the try though, so let's keep our fingers crossed. but it's a very difficult time to join a club. Sure, he's got 8 yrs or so experience, but with Buffalo and Carolina. There are guys in the AHL for 8 years that have similar experience!! Ok, the whiskey is getting to me. I really think they should have given the boys in Manch more of a shot to see how it's shapes out. No not Schultz. But perhaps Miller, Bodnarchuck, Forbort, (Gravel if he were a king)! They all know the Kings system, and they'd make the transition easier. As I said a couple days ago, this isn't the time of year to experiment, so I'm not suggesting any of these other guys now, the experimental window has left the station.

He hasn't even had a full practice with the team yet and he's playing his off side. He had a crappy game but it's a tad early to start comparing him to AHL players.

The Greene contract boggles the mine but who am I to question a two-time Stanley Cup winning GM? I thought they knew something I didn't, but it does appear that Lombardi has his weaknesses...he is loyal to guys who have produced in the past, and that has ****ed us with Richards and with Greene.

I agree, got to let Stoll walk. I would resign RR though because he has clearly demonstrated he is getting better as he is getting older...this is his best season of the three he has been with the Kings by far.
Won't be able to sign RR!! Greene has his money.

Looked uncomfortable but had his moments. Overshot some passes. Good on the boards like Voynov with positionin and leverage. Just didn't know where to be in our system so stayed in the front of the net which was a problem because it forced Regehr out to the corners. Not a good start but couldn't expect much going up against the Ducks when the whole team was a tire fire much of the night.

Good at straddling the line a la Quincey on the PP.

Yeah I didn't think he looked comfortable, hopefully he'll get more comfortable with our team / system quickly, the guy seems pretty nimble

Matt Greene is the worst player on the ice most nights for the Kings. It's just amazing that we are stuck with these awful players signed for so many years.

And Ron, yes you give Dean credit for winning the cups but it doesn't mean he is above criticism. Dean's moves following the cup win, namely re-signing Greene and not buying out Richards were disasters that will have long term implications. The Kings basically have gotten better production from McBain at the league minimum and Shore at 925k and Dean is paying those two over $8m.

Greene could really use the break. In fact, I think the breaks have helped McNabb and McBain when they got them.

Yeah, I guess that was why it took over 10 minutes in the second period to get our first shot on goal.

Dude, you really are digging yourself a hole here. I found some of your comments during the game to be enlightening, but now you are acting like a pissed-off fan and not thinking logically.

Dude, I really do love pissed off second-guessers. Please show me all the realtime comments in the first two periods complaining about being owned by the ducks.

I don't see what the big deal on the Greene contract is, it's not good but it's not like he'd be unmovable. If the Kings need the money to keep someone better then they can trade him.

A bit of rest may help him re focus I guess. Against a big team like the sucks we need a couple of monsters on D though. I didn't really notice greene in all honesty.

The Kings really needed at least two points out of the last two games.

That loss to the Sens hurts.

The old saying is March comes in like a lion, and goes out like a lamb! Two game losing streak, and now 10 road games and 5 home games in March! That a lot of games, and road games! If the Kings survive this, I think they'll make the playoffs.

From what I can tell of these GDTs, in-game comments are almost exclusively complaining about Kings' players and excited utterances when a King scores a goal. Not a whole lot of analysis on the progression of the game actually takes place. It just appears you are all alone in saying the Ducks played awful in the first two periods.

He got beat all night, and was responsible for missing a check, and his man on the game tying goal. Dude's been awful for about two weeks now.

@DennisTFP: Take on Kings/Habs scouting: LA could use playmaking 3C. Stoll, good on faceoffs but now 28 games without assist. Affects Williams(1G in 9)

I guess I wasn't imagining things when I said Stoll can't pass worth a damn. He's the new Colin Fraser.

The Eight game win streak pretty much just reset the season. All it did was dig the Kings out of the hole they put themselves in.

The Boy's have a lot more work ahead of them.

Bernstein is a moron.

Perhaps a reason why a Habs scout (asst. coach?) has been at the last three Kings' games is the Kings play the...wait for it...

the Habs next Thursday. (!)
