I'm having a hoot reading some of the posts on the Petes page. Now, granted, we're only one game in but some of the funnier posts read like this (and I'm paraphrasing):
"We only dressed 17 skaters, which is pretty much a forfeit" (Ummm, we dressed 18, so what?)
"London should have clobbered the Petes, but they didn't" (Ummm, it was 3-0)
"We're dealing with a lot of injuries" (Yeah, so are all the teams in the playoffs)
"Wait until we get our Captain back" (cuz that worked so well for Kitchener.
"We can beat London easily, we just need to score" (No SH!T)
"Their goalie isn't as good as ours, just has a good defense in front of him" followed by
"All we have to do is break down London's Defense, and we'll start dominating" (Just like OS, Kit and Sarnia did, right?)
They’re knowledgeable fans of their team.

Have you seen the stuff that gets posted here?

No reason to mock. Live and let live.

really....have you played the position?? When the action is hot and heavy...it's get anything on it you can...the other 5 players can worry about my misguided rebound that's why they're there
I’ve played and coached the position professionally for 25 years. I’m not just pulling this from thin air, I do know a little bit. It’s the goalies job to control rebounds. I don’t understand this narrative, just kick the puck and wherever it goes, it goes.

Welcome to The London Knights 2022-23 Season Thread

The only thread where your goalie can lead you to becoming Western Conference Champs...post a bagel in the 1st game of the OHL Final...and fans still can only pick out flaws in his game.

Bet your kids love your parenting skills

Don't recall saying that...I said when you're in deep you just get anything on it you can. Keep it outa the hut...that's the only mindset.

With those credentials what are you doing hanging out on a fan forum? Your initials aren't BD are they??

Not mocking. Just observing. We heard the same thing from OS, Kit and Sarnia fans so I find it funny that fans on these boards think they know exactly how to beat the Knights moreso than their own coaches. Either way, gonna be a good series.

Apparently there’s only person qualified on here to mention anything about goaltending. Everyone should refrain from discussing goaltending on this forum, even if you mention how great the goalie played but just discuss one criticism.

Very frustrating, that you can’t even give your opinion on this forum about goaltending. Without that poster attacking you because they know everything to ever happen and will happen with the position. Everyone else is wrong, because the poster said so.

Finally admitting you were wrong...good on you. No you're not wrong because I said so...you're wrong because you feel the need to pounce on a player no matter what he does. It's nauseating. Bowen could kick out 99 of 100 and you and the poster clicking likes would find fault in the one he let in. As long as you continue to critique his game..I will continue to back him with my points just to spite you

slide up to my seat on Saturday...with your extended credentials I'd love to get a pic and an autograph. Coached and played pro for 25 years....wow...outstanding. I stand in awe of your success and I tip my hat to you sir

Just ignore him. I’ve been around long enough to know he is right 100% of the time….in his eyes.

If someone is going to openly criticise player errors on open social board for any to view including the player himself, and think it's not affecting the players. They might as well cheer for the opposition, if they don't have any positive to say about the player, that is who they are helping.

Be careful when singling out player negativity on open social channels and think it's not affecting the players, we are all watching a full team here not just one player.

It's a team game, they win and lose as a team, they take credit and criticism as a team !!!

I used to be very opinionated on players flaws. It doesn't help anyone. I've changed my tune now to the point where people likely just want to punch me in the mouth because I am so relentless defending players. I don't care...I will bully the bully everywhere and anywhere. These are kids....we need to remember that. I also don't hide...I'm pretty easy to spot at games

You are doing the right thing PP31, and by doing so you are in essence helping out your favourite team by taking it on the fan's chin for them.
Can't expect a rookie teenager playing the 20 year old man's game without hiccups in his play to take full wrap for his whole team losses. That's complete nonsense !!

Game 2:

We should see determined effort on both sides with an emphasis on creating havoc for these two goalies.

I can see a similar outcome if the knights can shut down the Petes in the first and keep the game tight. Look for Beck and Avon to try to put the team on their backs with the individual effort.

Mailloux must stay out of the box, ever PP can mean the difference.

So.... game 2 tonight....

Yes!!!!!! Excited for this one. Each time had the opportunity to see what the other can bring.
I think if London as a team is willing to take the hits ( and it sure looks like the Petes can be physical ) to make the a play they will be just fine in this series. Easier said than down when staring done the trolley tracks.

Well getting to go tonight. Afternoon shift sucks. I think Bowen is playing well since the rust and the nerves have been overcome. I wish people would stop being so critical of these kids. The pressure they are under to perform is out of this world. To get this far they have worked hard and overcome many obstacles. Mark made some key trades that made this team awesome. The experience of the Bulldogs and their hearts are immense. Dickinson is a horse and mentioned previously Leonard was a basic throw in who has played awesome.
