Yes that's how I have it if Hutson can hack it as a dman 5 on 5:

Guhle Mailloux
Hutson Xhekaj
Harris Barron
Kovacevic

Engstrom, Struble, Trudeau, Fairbrother will try to challenge this.

If Hutson can't play D 5 on 5, but rather is a pp specialist and 5 on 5 forward:

Guhle Mailloux
Xhekaj Barron
Harris Kovacevic
Engstrom, Struble, Trudeau, Fairbrother
I like Guhle/Mailloux but I am not a fan of Xhekaj on the right side. Ideally we draft/trade for another top right handed defenseman. I think Xhekaj/Barron could also be a nice pairing.

Because of size, we might only be able to keep one of Harris and Hutson anyways...

It's going to be interesting to see what HuGo are able to do with all these LD assets. Great that they were able to trade Romy for a C. But he had a pedigree after earning honors at consecutive world juniors and had established himself in the NHL before he was able to be moved for such a high return.

Actually, it was a great typo as it offered an opportunity to go on a tangent.

Let’s enjoy this since we’re all going to be replaced by AI in a few years.
Typos can be embarrassing and, at times, engender humorous reactions. Many years ago when I was still practicing law, I was acting in a now long forgotten family matter. I had brought an interloquitory motion in which my supporting motion materials had wrongly used the term ‘martial law’ instead of ‘marital law’. When I appeared before the judge hearing the motion, he dryly commented that he was surprised that I was appearing before him without my helmet. In those circumstances, I learned it was best to just remain silent than saying anything that would only confirm one’s ineptness.

Somebody should tell Dale Hunter that. Isaiah George and him usually draw the other teams top line and kill penalty minutes as well
Perhaps. But at the next level he won’t be playing the Erie Otters. As for George, I have often commented that he he is often the best player on the ice for Knights. George is a far superior defenceman than Mailloux and for that reason I wouldn’t be surprised if that superior defensive ability allowed him go make the NHL before Mailloux. How we didn’t jump up and take him in the 4th round was a grievous error. When Montreal’s scouts went to assess Mailloux’s progress, one has to wonder what were they looking at?

Bad idea. Both Mailloux and Hutson will need a steady eddy to pair with. Both are not known to be build from the back end out. They are build from the offensive side in and have to learn reliability in the D zone.

Put Hutson with Xhekaj and Mailloux with Guhle. That's what I think today anyways.

Maybe Mailloux and Hutson fit on the PP together.
So refreshing to have so much young talent on the back end .We are arguing on pairings because of the amount of talent.
Guhle,Barron ,Xhekaj,Harris,Kovesevic,Hutson, Mailloux,Trudeau .

The more we have the better. Just like Pitching in the MLB.

Our draft power was very high in several drafts now. Keep it going

Well the NYI did use the pick we gave them in the Romanov trade to draft him- so there is that.

The sad part is that I’m probably one of the few in here who has been in court for an interlocutory injunction. I’ll leave it at that.

Most lawyers I know are happiest either not litigating, or feel relief for having retired from practise.

Wow,I forget about them. As an aside Yarmouth broke the All time record low temperature with a -21 on Saturday night.-48 with wind-chill .

I was suppose to go to a pool tournament on Saturday morning and my car would not start. I said screw that and made a fire in the wood stove instead. I don't burn much wood but it was handy to have for sure!

I don't recall -40 with wind ever before. -43 broke record here in Halifax as well.

Tough life. Nothing like people see in tv or the movies. There’s an old saying: there are no old litigation lawyers. They’re either dead or wish they were.

Habs slowly integrating Mailloux more and more in the team. He just did an interview with Anthony Martineau from TVA Sports.

Honestly nothing novel, but cool to just learn more about him outside of what he's done in the past (not saying that we should forget it either).

Some highlights:
- One of the most surprising facts was learning that he's actually anglophone (just thought he was more francophone cause of the name), but understands french and can speak french as well.
- Has a lot of confidence in him since he sees himself as the next "offensive defenseman" for the habs.
- Says that he wants to improve his defense and specifically things like gap control and defensive reads.
- Doesn't think he "struggles" defensively, but definitely thinks he can improve in that area.
- Not afraid to be physical and protect his teammates.
- Was happy to hear the kind words from Frankie Bouillon and wants to fight for a spot next year.

Edit: Obviously @Adam Michaels beats me to it 😂

A very interesting prospect. He's got the raw tools and if he puts it all together, he might be just as good as Guhle. Time will tell but the kid is working hard at addressing any flaws he has. I like his focus

That was a terrific interview. Typical kid who made a mistake or two that doesn't truly reflect who he really is.

I hope he makes it to the NHL and has a great run
I think it just reflected his age, he just scored with a Swedish hottie and wanted to brag, for all we know his teammates were probably asking him for pics.

As a gentleman, you don’t do that…as an immature kid, it doesn’t surprise me.

Lessons were learned…..hope we can all move ahead now.

He's eligible to turn pro next year. I think Habs will have him in Laval.
Wise move…..at least a full year
