Yeah, the Cubs will win another World Series eventually too. Unfortunately all the fans who were told that in 1909 were all dead when they finally did so in 2016.
I understand their faith in the talent. I am starting to believe this lack of cap space is untenable unless they move some big contracts. Even taking Freddies contract off of the books and a few others, you have to ice a legitimate S.C team, and we are expecting this while they still haven't won a round.
They needed to make a step this year. Winning the division has some value, especially in a short, intense run. This isn't the Atlantic Division though.
