Well I want McDavid and am okay with giving up the 7th. If Dubas can't pull this off, he is a bad trader.

So just because Dubas targets someone and gives up more then a few fans want, he is a bad trader? Thats an awful argument. Tell me aside from the Kadri deal he lost out on?

Okay, just give me some examples of who you want and the price you think dubas will give up?

Are you afraid dubas is gonna give up more than you think is fair?

Just Ekhholm alone would change this team so much, that would be an embarrassment of riches on Defence, maybe top 5 defence core in the NHL? WOW that is a dream eh?

SCOUTING REPORT
Has a huge frame (6-4, 215 pounds), puck-moving ability and a big shot from the point. Usually keeps his game very simple and minimizes his mistakes. Owns all-round acumen. Does not have a lot of grit or toughness, so he does not always take full advantage of his big frame at the NHL level. Also, he does not shoot the puck nearly enough.
Long Range Potential: Quality, all-round defenseman.

Unfortunately, it doesn't matter who we add up front or on the blueline if our goaltending situation remains unstable.

Putting all of this together means he's eying forwards on American teams with some or all of them being rentals. I'm also assuming he's put one of the top prospects in an offer already and wants the other GM to pull the trigger.

A fair and reasonable assessment. I do believe it will be a U.S team barring something from out of deep left field, I'm not so convinced he isn't talking beyond just the forwards. Or, he needs that addressed first for cap purposes in order for him to do the latter.

We should get a consensus on how many people wanna do Hall for Robertson. Then compare the deal to the actual trades we pull. See if dubas pays more than the people want or less.

It's obvious dubas haters won't be happy with any deal, and fanboys will support dubas no matter how badly he gets bent over. Let's establish a line before the deal happens.

I personally would hate a robertson for hall deal

I'd hold the bag for you and follow up with my own vomit.

I don't think Robertson is untouchable, I would prefer they keep him. Under the right circumstances he can be traded. If it is for Hall I would not like that trade at all.
