List of objective mistakes Keefe could make in the playoffs (A priori, aka before) (speak now or forever hold your peace).

When Nylander is on fire dont move him around and start playng him less, that is a thing that kill fire.

Dont overuse Marner, he can manage big minutes but it is better to have him as fresh as he an be at the end of games when we sadly often need him most.

That was a strange sentence but u know what i mean.

Not using enough media tricks other NHL coaches have always used: always flatter the opponent, act humble to a fault, start a random argument with the most attention-seeking reporter in the room to get the other media off the individual players' cases, throw out red herrings like practising the penalty kill with 3 forwards or something odd like that, etc.

When you think you have 2 goalies, you often have none.

Keefe rotation of goalies will potentially be something we as fans will be discussing, particularly questionable ones.

PP1 flops and Keefe scrambles to replace the obvious weak spot (Rielly) all while trying not "to disrespect his legacy". This forces an 11/7 fiasco...disaster ensues.

Since 2019-2020( keefe beginning), only Edmonton had a better pp... so what?!?!?!

Samsonov, Murray in goal today. No Woll.

Keefe is going to roll Murray in the playoffs.

Murray in the playoffs is just risky. I'd rather roll the dice a bit with Woll than go with Murray's predictable unreliability.

Not only is it PREDICTABLE that JT would suck in OT, the stats bear it out.

Keefe isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed.

A few things that I think can kill a team in the playoffs:

Pulling the goalie too early, especially without being set up in the O zone. Babcock was literally the worst for this, but I don't think Keefe has blown it too bad. This move reeks of desperation.

Going to quickly to the line blender. The regular season should give a coach more than enough time to experiment with the lines. You shouldn't need to switch things up after only a few periods. Unless a player gets hurt, forcing a change, then most of the lines/pairings should stay consistent.

Time outs. Save one for a late breather, if needed. And use it when the time comes. This one should never be hard, but coaches blow it all the time. You have a tool to give your best players a breather. Use it.

Keefe, please. Win or loose, just don't talk about the respect you do or don't get from the other team.

That has to be the lowest point of this 6 year debacle.

Waiting too long to stack his lines

Last year in game 7 he needed to stack his lines from first minute. You are playing Vasi, you secure a goal or two with that guy. Don't wait before he gets into GOD mode. He didn't

He finally stacked Matthews, Tavares and Marner with like 3 minutes to go. By that that entire Tampa has collapsed to secure that 1 goal lead

There's absolutely no reason why Matthews shouldn't be playing 23-25 minutes a game. A 25 year old prime player can handle the minutes. He gets paid well to play that top minutes. He better not stretch himself thin

I think he gets that. That's why he's practicing going with 7 D. It gives him flexibility at the back end and gets his key forwards in Marner and Matthews to play more minutes

It was a really stupid thing to say, which he realized soon after when he backtracked.
I'm not going to criticize him for that. I've said the same thing after losing a tough game in the playoffs. Coaches do it to make the players, fans, and themselves feel better. Almost like a defence mechanism to ease the pain.

Keefe plays Murray in the post season -> Murray will underperform -> Keefe should be fired.

Woll is better than Murray.

Playing your best team should be the coach's responsibility.
