I'm keeping Ullmark 100/100 times over Swayman. Said that last year, too.
Sway what? 61 games into his pro career, beyond satisfied with him so far, yes, shown inconsistency but that`s the norm not the exception for a young keeper

Real good read.

great story, alcoholism is a family disease, I didn`t know and frankly, while in the midst of active addiction, didn`t care what effect my behaviors had on so many.

Talked to a woman years ago who was in recovery, she said to me, word for word "Andrew, every day an addict or alcoholic stays clean and sober, at least a half dozen of their loved one`s sleep well"...great article

my folks are gone now but they told me once I reconnected with them the terror they felt anytime the phone rang not having heard from me for almost a decade as I was out doing what I was doing

Yes. A lot of people wanted Ullmark traded.

I'm keeping him over Swayman 100% if any is on the block.

I think I`ll almost always keep the vet if they have proven they can handle the workload over a kid for a team whose competing for a cup. I don`t watch the PB`s but also sounding like that Bussi kid is something else too for down the road but again, both he and Sway so young

Bussi's a complete unknown because I don't believe the organization thought he would be here and the way he was almost ignored in camp, while you had Brassard/Keyser/Swayman/Keyser already pretty much known quantity, then you add in DiPietro, who was part of the Studnicka trade, but really hasn't impressed us in Portland since his arrival.....

What a great article, huh
It was fantastic. I cried.

I do like that Amalie touched on one aspect that people seem to be super judgy on and that is other family members alcohol consumption. I had people assume that I wouldn't touch alcohol again and when I said I wasn't planning to, they got real judgemental. I learned to ignore them.

After losing him, I am more mindful of how I am feeling and why I am having a drink and if it is for a destructive reason I simply don't drink.

That is an excellent article.

My late father was an alcoholic, with a very similar life-path to Ullmark's father. I can empathize with much--though not all--of this.

I like Ullmark. He seems like a very nice, effervescent guy. I was not aware of his past successes or his studious approach, which I also like very much.

I was in the group that wanted him traded for cap room. After all, he showed only modest improvement last year, but things change. ...

I have the impression you might be an emotional person. And I do think liking it. Cheers

I've never really been a huge personal trophy winner type of fan. The closest I've been to that is rooting for Bergy to win the Selke every year he's one of the finalists.

Linus Ullmark deserves this.

As of today Ullmark sits at:

20 Wins / 1.90 GAA / .938 SV% / 2 SO

The last goalie to win MVP was Price and in that season he posted:

44 wins / 1.96 GAA / .933 SV% / 9 SO

If Ullmark keeps up this pace he should be a Hart finalist at worst.
